Why I Will Always Like Naruto as a Character

Just because he is destined doesn't mean he didn't have to work hard dude. Did you even read what this Guy said? His destiny isn't set in stone which is why he needed others to support him.. he trained hard to learn shadow clone justsu, rasengan and other variants, rasen shuriken, sage mode, and finally Kyuubi mode.. its not something he just gained like nothing.

Naruto is a cool character, nice to everybody, works hard and doesn't give up on his dreams. And one of his dreams is to save his friend and to bring him back to the village. Now Kishi would be rolling us if Naruto kills Sasuke after so many years of trying to save him. I like Naruto, the only problem I have with him is that he is simple minded. Normaly I enjoy complex main characters like Lelouch of Code Geass.

Now about Sasuke, I agree that it would be weird to have Sasuke live in Konoha, who would want to live in a place that discriminated your clan and killed your family?! Sasuke helped Konoha by cleaning up their mess (Danzo). He still didn't kill innocent ppl. However Kishi needs to find a proper ending for the last Uchiha.

Well all of that is your opinion and yours alone.

But if you want my opinion, I could care less about the whole destiny thing really. Naruto still had to work hard to get to where he is today and he had friends to help him.

Also, if you were even reading the thread, you should realize that the destiny thing was not set in stone.

Also, Naruto's development as a character hasn't stopped, he's 16 years old so his character is obviously going to continue as the series progress. Cause no matter what people say about him, Naruto will always be my favorite character and nobody can change that.

Also, if you honestly think that Naruto's character is completely based on destiny, then do yourself a favor and stop reading the manga.

Because he is a destined child, it totally negates the hard working concept that Naruto thinks he has. Not only that, his destiny is a complete slap in the face to Neji's speech. Also, compared to others, Naruto had the least improvement in the two year time skip.

I agree with your appreciation of Naruto's character, and your analysis of other people appreciation. However, I disagree with the way you want the thing to end. When I read a story, I like to see a minimum of logical consistency. Honestly, I never hide my opinion of each character in the series, or each clan. And I think that the only consistent ending for Sasuke here is to be saved by Naruto or some other people. See for example this example:

In a family, everyone is done with a kid because he is messy. Mother, Father, etc want to cut ties with him, but there is one person who still love him. Suddenly, something happens. The kid is arrested, or he is taken hostage by some bad guys. In this hostage or situation, he has a flashback of his entire life and everything he rejected. Then his family learn the problem, and see him either on TV, or directly, and know that he wants to change. Specifically, the family learn that he is very sorry.

I believe, that being sorry is what it will take for Sasuke to be redeemed, and this will happen. From my understanding of the story, the last arc will be a Sasuke redemption from Orochimaru, and all Konoha will help Naruto. Oro is not a human, he is the white snake itself looking for a vessel to dominate the shinobi world. Also check Sasuke vs Orochimaru to see what Sasuke said about Oro's true ID.

If Kishi kill Sasuke, I will be pissed off, and I will classify the series as BS. Also recall what Naruto said to Jiraya:

" I will create an owesome Jutsu to save him"

You pretty much summed up everything I enjoy about Naruto as a series and Naruto as my favorite character. Very well done, I agree with everything you've said. Naruto's character development is some of the best writing ever done and it baffles me that there are people out there that don't agree. Naruto represents many different things that people should want to be and aspire to be, even if his ideals seem rather idealistic or even naive.

Well I didn't say that the ending for Sasuke's story was definite, it was just another option that I pointed. Believe me, Naruto can still save Sasuke from the darkness, but I just don't see him returning to the village after all he's done.
