not discriminated, but looked down upon. Like claiming that being a meat-eater makes you betterI have never heard of anyone being discriminated against for being a vegetarian. :|
it isn't more ecological. firstly, there are many areas in the world which don't support farming, furthermore farming speeds up erosion. and vegetarian isn't the healthiest diet, we've been farmers for less than one percent of our evolution and we've been hunter-gatherers for the rest. while it's true that agriculture has made it possible to support a bigger world population, it doesn't mean it's a good thing. the most important thing in a diet is balance and variety, and avoiding processed foods.don't really know why, but they shouldn't be as an vegetarian diet is by far more ecollogical than a meat-based one. Oh well, i would become a vegetarian if i could, you see I'm the exact opposite of a vegetarian. No matter how many times I try vegetables don't taste good to me and I can't eat them.
Ecological? Hmmm.....no.don't really know why, but they shouldn't be as an vegetarian diet is by far more ecollogical than a meat-based one. OT: Where I'm from, a lot of vegetarians look down on everyone else. Vegetarianism is like associate with high class, health conscious, liberal type folk. We have entire stores and restaurants that cater to them. Some vegetarians even flat out show disgust when they see you eating meat. They become like a religious person trying up force their beliefs on us. I have vegetarian friends but I'm not too keen on picnicking with them or inviting them to parties. They flip out over finger sandwiches <.<
But those are only the vegetarians here. I have no problem with vegetarians as a whole.
don't know why are you saying it isn't more ecological, as it is true. I didn't made it up, google it and you'll see.it isn't more ecological. firstly, there are many areas in the world which don't support farming, furthermore farming speeds up erosion. and vegetarian isn't the healthiest diet, we've been farmers for less than one percent of our evolution and we've been hunter-gatherers for the rest. while it's true that agriculture has made it possible to support a bigger world population, it doesn't mean it's a good thing. the most important thing in a diet is balance and variety, and avoiding processed foods.
as to the whole looking down on vegetarian thing, it goes both ways. plenty of vegetarians look down on 'meat-eaters'. it's basic human nature i suppose, it's easier to feel validated by looking down on people who are different.
not all of them say thatBecause they claim it's wrong to take the life of an animal just for food, yet; Are plants not living organisms?
