Well, with those laws you will be at an advantage over almost anybody in the world. Smoke free lungs, a fully developed brain, and the middle east's econemy is getting better by the day. The brain stops maturing at 25, and people in my country 'legaly' drink at 21. Most drink at 15-death. They will most likely not be as smart as you. Most of them smoke alot of different things. It is very bad, that is why your government banned it. You are in a good situation.

Great thing about Australia is that we don't have many restrictions placed upon us. Nearly everywhere you go, people respect other people's culture and belief. That's why I love this country so much.

I live in Sweden, and sure there's law against underage drinking and when you're allowed to have ***, though they're hardly stricly enforced. It's like a 'what the police doesn't know doesn't hurt them' mentality.
As for religion, it's against law to be forceful about things according to what religion dictates, for example; you can't force a child to marry here in Sweden and threat someone, because of religion says, nor does religion have much influence over having relationships, more than law and law is rather lenient. Of course, there are those whom doesn't care about the law in this matter, well they're cautious about it as they try to be sneaky about it, and tries to enforce religious values(or more like their own) on others, mostly family members and in communities.

All in all though, law goes before religion and law isn't as strict with the issues you bring up.

In my country the government is trying to prevent us from carrying semi-automatic weapons, so I'm familiar with an oppressive government too.

Other than that, Iran would be a beautiful, prosperous country (to a certain extent ofc) if usa didn't meddle from 1951 to this day.


Personally, I'm fed up with the farmland environment of my country. I want to go to USA/Canada, asia, australia T_T fml

Dude, c'mon, The Netherlands isn't that bad of a place to live. It's very free and there's not many restrictions at all. Since moving here 6 months ago, I much prefer it here than England. But yeah, I'm moving to Australia after I've finished college and uni :p

OT: Like I said above, Netherlands really isn't that bad, very chilled out country and not many enforcing laws, you can drink beer and wine at 16 and blaze up dee fire (smoke weed) once you turn 18. However, I've realised some police are complete *******s and just fine you because they can. Also, pissing in the street s a straight €80 fines :|

Holland is safe. Cool ppl in general..I'm just sick of the environment. It's flat. No nature...and such. I just want to go to other places xd

Not here in the US. People get drunk on a daily basis and we have a great many freedoms. Let me give you the bill of rights to show our primary ones that our government is trying to take away.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

The government should not interefere with human relationships of all things. I understand their stance on alcohol, but this is too much. That is why religion and state should always be separate.

Which Pakistani city is that? Only recently, a part of Christian Community houses were burnt on blasphemy of all the things and not to mention the stigma of rape and shame associated with women, along with Karo Kari. Pakistan is one of the most backward, illiterate, and insufferably poor society on the face of this planet. I should know, because I am still stuck in this rat hole.

Don't make crap up. The true Islamic sect? Dear Lord, here we go.
