Sequence of events that led to Hashirama's belief that he defeated Madara (repost)

This was originally a post by me in Sirderpobito's thread but since it didn't get much attention on there I decided to post it out here for everyone to see. This came to me after a post by alphascythian below... Make sure to read it!

Here we can see same SFX "FWIP" when sharingan is deactivated (or activated too). Note madara doesnt have EMS on but its hashirama's perception. Its only genjutsu.
Or am i wrong?

Sequence of events at the end of VoTE fight in my understanding in madara's perspective : conserve chakra - activate sharingan - notice bunshin - play along (act fooled) cast gen jutsu - make sure he misses your heart while he thinks he got you - deactivate - fake die (lying on floor) - wait for him to pass out - harvest DNA and retreat.

My thoughts but I have a feeling he knew where hashirama's loyalties lied. Madara had this thing planned he had incredible foresight even to the uchiha massacre.

I don't know what the fandom want to prove with all this refusal that Madara got defeated by Hashirama. A part from plot device, Madara has no chance in defeated Hashirama power-wise. Unless you guys have forgotten, Hashirama can turn a battlefield into the following:

- an entire forest
- A river
- Ground

Actually, Hashirama does not even need to fight Madara. The only thing he was doing was to stop Madara's stupidity from harming innocent people. Hashirama can become one with trees, the ground, etc. Madara is not a sensor, and there is no way he is going to detect his position.

On this page, you can read what Madara said about the outcome of their fight. On the others translations, it says: " This time, I am the last man standing". In any case, it suggest that in their previous battle, Hashirama was the last man standing, and he always sparred Madara. Therefore, logically, there is no reason for Madara to expect that Hashirama is going to kill him.

Besides, a part for plot device, how could Madara know exactly the way Hashirama would kill him?

People have to accept that Hashirama was one test Madara was never able to pass. And I believe that Madara's sole goal was to prove himself that he could. His own statement to Obito prove this fact:

Create a World without neither winners ,nor losers. This is because Madara's life was a life of a looser. He was never able to reach the level of his only true rival.

No doubt hashirama was always stronger than madara and in this fight madara went all but he said in the previous chapter that would hashirama choose him over the village which shows he has been questioning hashirama's loyalty and he sensed him being carried away by this dream he's achieved.

OT: What I'm doing in this thread however is showing how madara escaped with his life when hashirama was so sure he killed madara.

And I never said he predicted hashirama was going to use a wood clone, I propose he saw through it with his sharingan then played along to later deactivate it after he was stabbed
