I still think he did, How else did he escape ? He could have made Hashirama believed he was cut down so he could escape aftwards (using Izanagi).
He deactivated his Sharingan after he used the Izanagi (so there's a possibility he did).
You're just showing that he said he "escape death" yeah, but how ? By using Izanagi

The reason you can't say the loss of an eye is due to Izanagi is because how would he have attained 2 rinnegan eyes if he'd lost one to Izanagi? Obito meets Madara after he's already given his eyes to Nagato, his new eye was most likely stolen by Zetsu for him

This! He would have lost one of Izuna's eyes. I don't think he would do that. Also, at the moment he didn't have Senju DNA so no Izanagi.

And the page that TS posts doesn't say anything about how he survived hashi's fight.. only how he survived that long.

EDIT: @dude above me, as far as i know you don't need senju dna.. danzou only used senju dna to control the sharingan and stuff, izanagi is a forbidden uchiha jutsu, just like izanami and itachi didn't have senju dna either.

I belive that a person whith eternal mangekyo sharingan does not lose the eye if he uses izanagi..This could explain why he didn't lose the eye..If i remember well,Itachi told Sasuke about Izanami,that an eternal mangekyo can use it as many time he wants
