Theory: There aren't Homosexual Characters in Naruto | Classic Views on Brotherhood Explained
Introduction:
It has come to my attention, on NarutoBase, the use of the words gay or whatnot are used to describe the likes of Orochimaru, Sasuke, Haku, Zabuza, Naruto etc. but this is simply put, wrong. It isn't impossible for homosexual characters to appear in manga as many mangas are concepted toward the gay audience and the largely successful Yu-Yu Hakusho starred two homosexual men so it isn't unheard of to contain gay people in the Japanese manga market. However, whether used jokingly (which is quite unacceptable tbh) or seriously, I am under the assumption that there are NO Homosexual characters in Naruto.
Premise:
Evidence and Support:
The reason that I am under the assumption is due to many reason. For some reason, it is taboo to discuss homosexulity with the youth. Naruto, most noticable in Part 1, is targetted toward the youth and wouldn't likely appear homosexuals or homosexual themes in the manga or anime. In a recent interview, Kishimoto stated that Sasuke was asexual which reveals that asexuality is a common theme in Naruto. It would explain the lack of interest romantically by many characters into others; Sasuke, Orochimaru, Madara, Itachi... are common examples. One may question why Haku and Naruto went on a date, knowing that Haku knew about Naruto being a male (hopefully at least). Why would Haku attempt such a thing? Easy, he appeared to be a girl so a date with Naruto as a child, could easily reveal information about Team 7 and there intentions. Zabuza didn't express any sort of romantic, physical or sexual attraction to his partner. Sasuke hasn't appeared to have any feelings toward anyone up to now. Naruto like(d/s) Sakura which disapproves this theory right away. How bout Orochimaru you may say? He seems unsafely opsessed with Sasuke - this isn't due to homosexuality (pedophila maybe...) but due to Orochimaru being an asexual and an opsession to power and immortality. If he is interested in anyone, it is Manda not Sasuke.
Classic Views of Brotherhood:
What is the classic, age ole view on brotherhood? How do I explain this in modern terms? Simply put, bros before hoes. Naruto views Sasuke as his best friend - his brother essentially and he would do absolutely anything for his friend. It is how Itachi did so much for Sasuke - he was in an incesive way attracted to Sasuke, he just viewed him as a brother that he loved dearly (not homosexually). This is a similar case to Naruto who would do so much for Sasuke - keep in mind that he is also doing all this as a promise from Sakura. Sasuke isn't running after Naruto, but thinks about him a lot. This is due to Sasuke being asexual and loving power, not Naruto.
Essentialy, the ancient views on brotherhood is you'll do anything for your brother or friend. Hugging doesn't exemplify being gay - guys in Japan and all around the world including whatever country you live in symbolizes this brotherhood and protection. When women hug does this equate to them being lesbians? No it doesn't; two males hugging is a form of brotherhood in physical form.

Thank you for reading. The purpose of this thread is to at least in some shape or form end the homophobia, the 'Sasuke is gay' or 'Naruto is gay' threads and replies.
