What is it with people believing he will be the next SO6P?? It just won't happen. Something way way better will though.

The sage himself admitted that he failed to bring peace to the world that he failed to guide the Juubi and the tailed beasts in some fashion. Kishi has the theme of the younger generation surpassing the elders. Hence Naruto will surpass the sage its only a matter of time and he will be able to do what the Sage could not, bring lasting peace. How is yet to be seen, but it will not involve becoming the second coming of the Sage.

That's the beauty of the Naruto plot. It's pointless to make in depth theories or complicated speculations, Kishi is always going to pick the most obvious route.

I'm of the same thought, Naruto will not become more powerful than the Sage BUT he will surpass the Sage by succeeding where the Sage failed.

He will bring peace and deal with the Tailed Beasts once and for all.

Exactly, the Sage talks about "True power" that is not Chakra or Planet creation Jutsu or any of that crap its being able to make everyone believe in him.

When we say Surpass its the actions and achievements that make Naruto greater than those before. Its not exactly like we can say hes the smartest tool in the box. So he hasn't surpassed anyone with his braininess lol.

I don't believe he fits that category. The more I think about it Naruto is very much different to say someone like Hashirama, he fits the younger son much more. Naruto does not.

Ie Naruto fits the Sages' will far more than the younger sons.

The 9 Tail is going to lose a lot of power after this war, and its going to take time from him to regain his power. As shown previously, at one point in time the 9 tail was really little... I think Naruto is going to use a move that takes up so much Chakra, its forces the 9 tail to go back to a small version of himself.

Otherwise the rest of the series is just a bunch of characters getting stronger and stronger until they become gods, tossing planets at each other.

I think it would be more plausible to see Naruto learn Wood Techniques. He already has an affinity for growing wood (lewls), I wouldn't be surprised if Hashirama stays a little longer after the battle, and teaches Naruto some abilities before he he unsummons himself and leaves.

That way he doesn't lose the power of the 9 tails completely, but isnt his GOD mode for everything... also he get to become stronger and start using OTHER abilities then what he currently has..

The only reason Hashirama is teaching Naruto this is because after the 10 tailed beast is killed, all the beasts are thrown around the world... and its up to Naruto the recapture them all and tame them (not to use their power themselves, but to make them good beings on their own will).
