Is Kurenai's Genjutsu Overrated or Underrated?

So we can all assume that Kurenai's talent as a Kunoichi is genjutsu. She was shown to use her genjutsu very well and even managed to trap Itachi with it. She even earned praise from Itachi himself. While that is great and all, despite these listed I think some people might think too highly of her.


She was given a FIVE for genjutsu in the databooks and bigfatloser or USSJ Future Trunks stated that Kurenai's genjutsu gives her the ability to solo MINATO NAMIKAZE. C'mon guys, really? Don't get me wrong, Kurenai is without a doubt a skilled genjutsu user but that is crossing the line, as we just haven't seen enough from Kurenai for her to deserve the praise she is getting. One genjutsu that gets disabled (in her defense, by Itachi Uchiha) and praise FROM THE SAME GUY just isn't enough to convince me. But enough about my thoughts, what do you guys think? Is her genjutsu overrated or underrated?

OT: We've barely seen any of her genjutsu. She has a 5 so we know she's good but I don't think she's underrated or overrated. Ppl just don't talk about her

Underrated. She has genjutsu that can rival Itachi's but the only fight she has been in is against Itachi who has a sharingan which is the ultimate counter to Genjutsu. Just her luck, (but underrated).

Yay someone created a thread about kurenai As for her genjutsu, I'd say she's underrated in that aspect but unfortunately we've never really seen how good she really is. She's only shown one jutsu throughout the whole series...can you believe it!

As for her soloing minato...nope! But when you think about it she does have a very very tiny chance to do something against him though.

You've actually got a good point lol. Knowing your in a genjutsu and escaping from it are 2 different things. The beauty about kurenai's genjutsu is that she vanishes, so unless you've got the sharingan you cant hurt her, although minato could sense her out!
