it makes me wonder who Oro sacrificed in his attempted to summon the 4th hokage and or if edo kills the sacrifice if the summon failed

I guess it's safe to assume that he was trying to revive Minato.. though we don't have concrete proof.. just the fact that he couldn't revive the other body.. We had those 4 fodders right? one got killed and the 3 were used up in edo tensei and apparently one survived to be killed by someone i guess.

As for the question, who knows? It's not relevant. The contradicting stories about the 3rd coffin aren't going to be resolved. I highly doubt it has anything to do with the corpse. Either Sarutobi somehow stopped it by throwing shuriken at it, or Minato's soul was in Reaper.

the question is not how he stopped it its who he sacrificed because zaku and kin were revealed to be the sacrificees and dosu was killed by gaara

Well i think a living soul is need to be sacrificed to call one from the dead. But if that soul cant be braught back maybe the sacrificed soul doesnt return to its body
