Edit: Let me clarify. The poster posting the interview probably has a REAL interview. As in, he actually saw this, but that the source itself is a joke because of the holiday. He didn't do anything wrong and the information is entertaining, but it's almost certainly a joke on the manga's part, not his own.

It's actually happened before. Westerners have information leaked to them from Japanese media. So when Japan plays an April Fools joke, we're the confused foreigners that are slow on the upbeat. To this day, fake interviews from a few years ago are still in cicrulation and claim to be real.
