If I did, I'd use it on some people who are really, really old, but include awesome overwhelming positives in their death, something like this:
"After releasing his cure for cancer to the public, (really old scientist) will die painlessly in his sleep the following night."
I could also use it to ensure people in danger will make it out of a situation safely, by saying they will die in their late 90's or something.
I don't know the exact complications of what works and what doesn't, but I'd try to use it for maximum benefit and minimum loss.

Well how about this: "In the process of finding a cure for cancer, (cancer researcher) accidentally gives him/herself the disease. Xe dies of it one day before the first working treatment made from his research is ready to be used." Something along those lines at least.
Also I'm not talking about killing someone after they're dead, I'm saying - if someone is in a coma, I'd be like "this dude dies at 92 in his sleep" to ensure he'd wake up.

I had a discussion with my mom today about this.

I explained to her what a Death Note is and told her I'd use it to cleanse the world so the oppressed can drop their shackles after I get rid of the oppressors. Banksters, pedophiles, corrupt political leaders, etc. (no small-name criminals that committed a crime because of money issue. They were raised in this environment and are not directly hurting others).

She told me I don't have the right to play god in this situation.

I responded with: So we should just let the oppressors roam free and kill us? Enslave us?

Her response: No legit response back

But me having the balls to kill another man is another story lol
