Orochimaru's Head
Already as a kid Orochimaru's parents died (like Sasuke's parents). That really resambles alot to Sasuke's history. Compared to Jiraya, Orochimaru was very talented and skilled as a shinobi begin as Hiruzen's best students.
According to Orochimaru's parents death, in their grave Orochimaru found a white snake skin nearby. Hiruzen explained that the white snake represented fortune and rebirth witch inspired Orochimaru to study kinjutsu.
But Orochimaru gave Sasuke curse market... But why? He could give curse market to Naruto and even steal the 9 tailed fox... We already know that Orochimaru was very smart. Basically he didn't plan to get the nine tails.
Let me explain
He knew about the Uchiha Massacre, he knew that Sasuke will revenge, and according to that he will know the truth of the Uchiha and begin controlled of Madara Uchiha (Obito). And even join the akatsuki... Then invade the whole shinobi world. Orochimaru even joined the Akatsuki and tried to steal Itachi's eyes, to make Itachi's younger brother Sasuke to forget about the revenge. But that mission failed and even Itachi said "Your ability won't work in front of these eyes". Orochimaru joined Akatsuki, that means Orochimaru knows about the Eye of the Moon Plan. He couldn't kill Itachi and returned to plan for the Invasion of Konoha. In the Chunnin Exam he knew that Sasuke was challenging there. Orochimaru wanted to kill Sasuke but instead giving him some power, he had another plan. That plan was to give Sasuke power, because he knew that he needed power to defeat Itachi as seen here:
His recently plan worked well, (Anko also had the Curse Market, but it was only a test if it really worked, it has nothing to with this). He wanted to give Sasuke power so after his revenge, he could still be with Orochimaru and still seek after power. Because he knew Orochimaru was a good person, who helped him to seek after power. So he wanted to change it and don't let Obito Uchiha have him. In the Invasion Of Konoha he killed his own master or Sensei, but actually he didn't want to...He wanted Sasuke to know that he is truly powerful and was enough evil.
But he even shed a tear :
Orochimaru killed 3rd Hokage to show people that he's strong and after giving Sasuke' power, he knew that Sasuke will seek Orochimaru up and join him. Orochimaru lost his arms according to Dead Demon Consuming Seal, and later on Sasuke killed Orochimaru and escaped to get his revenge. Orochimarus plan went all wrong. But we all know that Orochimaru didn't want all this to happend like now.
