[Discussion] Itachi was the youngest hokage ever! (perhaps)

Regardless....when Sandaime said he entrusted everything....he meant the entire 'plan and execution of the massacre'. Itachi took on a lot of burden outside the village....sure....but the responsibilities of a Hokage far exceeds just monitoring the activities of enemies and reporting back as a spy.

he never specified that, hence why it says everything, and they further would speak of his double role and all. so i am sure if he is facing their biggest threat alone. they are trusting the village and the people lives in his hands.

yea thats nice. at 13 or however old he was in that chapter under any case they would have not made him hokage. yes he could have been one if the plot and the genocide and the runaway take place but....they werent gunna let him become hokage bro...

The same could be said when Genma entrusted Sasuke with the task of stopping Gaara during the Orochimaru invasion (remember...if Gaara wasn't stopped, the entire village could have been wiped out....afterall...he was the 'main weapon')

Same could be said of a lot of other ninja entrusted to handle village defining missions.

I'm not belittling what Itachi did....but whenever a shinobi of Konoha got a mission....it usually had a multiplier effect on the lives of people in the village.....regardless of age.

even though he was not granted it on the grand stage of all knowing, the burden of protecting the village with both keen intellect, and skill as a shinobi on the highest caliber of missions was entrusted to him alone. the once then hokage and elders essentially gave him that power behind the close doors. the difference here is i am acknowledging his well deserved title that lay dormant in the darkness.

If he was a worthy leader he would've atleast considered a peaceful talk with his clan members.Instead he decided to kill his own parents and friends for the village's safety.Still he couldn't do it successfully,he didn't kill sasuke.He didn't even bother telling him the truth.It is his failure that sasuke is a threat to the same village which he strived so hard to protect.Whatever he did,he was a failure.He couldn't protect the village from war and couldn't protect his brother from giving in to darkness.

I don't really like the Uchihas all the much, but I can't deny that Itachi would have been a pretty good hokage. He was seen to be capable and intelligent. He also knew what had to be done, no matter how hard it is/was. To Pandu, I think he knew himself that the Uchiha as a clan could not be stopped, not by peaceful negotiational means. Years of being seen as second class citizens is hard to reverse.
