Anyone taking any AP tests this May? If so, what subjects and how worried are you about them? Yeah I know it's irrelevant and wrong section but I haven't found any topics here interesting or groundbreaking enough to want to discuss tonight :/ I have (from least to most worried about): Physics B, Calc BC, English Language, US History. Not really worried about the first 3, but I'm sort of worried about APUSH....What about you guys?
Also any seniors get into Ivy League schools? One of my friends got into Duke and Cornell, another is on the wait list for Harvard at the moment. Lots of people in this class got into UCLA and Berkeley, and my class is a lot better than this one, so it's pretty relieving hahahah. Also could be unnerving though, maybe this is one of those years where they let in a lot of people and then next year the acceptance numbers will be much smaller..........

Ill be taking a few IB exams next year, might take some AP although really i dont feel its worth getting extra credits to skip college courses unless your gonna be a part time student.

Wow where are you going to go instead, and what's your major? One of my best friends' older brother goes there lol. I'm thinking of applying there because not a lot of people at my school will apply (in California everyone applies to UCLA/SC/Berkeley/Stanford, and I don't have the resumé or desire to go to an Ivy). Hopefully I can get into CalTech or MIT (leaning towards MIT, but either one would be amazing). I'm probably gonna be a Physics major

I took AP world history last year and this year APUSH. They're pretty easy if you pay attention to your notes. When stuff about the 1900's comes it its a lot easier than earlier times. That's only for history though.

Oh wow your school offers IB. I've heard that it's better than AP. But wait if you don't get college credits then what makes it better than AP?

No kidding? Hook em fellow Longhorn.

OP, you're most worried about APUSH and not worried about Physics? Trade me brains please.

I thought APUSH was easy. Didn't study much, got a 4, banked the credit this semester. Just go over the basic overviews and you should be fine. The Reconstruction period was emphasized a lot when I took the test. Just be well rounded and not doing well should be hard.

Oh no you get College credit for passing Ib exams, but most people like IB better cause you get more freedom to do what you want topic wise or what you want to write/talk about

What do you mean freedom topic-wise? Lol. Is it like there are more IB classes offered than AP? I think there are 31 AP tests but only like 15-17 different subjects offered at our school

Hahaha our APUSH teacher sucks. His tests are like worse than the AP test (and no curves) but his lectures are so general. It's a fun class though, just because we end up screwing around a lot. I just don't self study enough, and I know like nothing from the very beginning of the class, starting from like a little before the Civil War I know a lot. So maybe I'll do fine. And Physics is fun :)

Cal ,and English, and Physics.

That's impressive, congrats. I have a lot of friends at Cal now lol I would say it's probably my 3rd choice (assuming I could get into MIT/CalTech). And Physics B or C?
