It kind of is... Itachi mentally tortured Sasuke who was seven years old then he did it again 6 years later,Itachi even admitted he turned Sasuke into a monster and that it was his fault that Sasuke is consumed with hatred.
You're right, Itachi should've stuck with being a caring and loving older brother. I'm just tryna bash the people who overestimate Itachi and label him as God when he's no where near as intelligent and powerful as some shinobi. Yah that's the purpose of this thread.
Zeph agree with this.. Even greatest ninja have weakness.
Thank you for pointing that out and I agree with you. Itachi stated that "Every jutsu has a weakness", well that includes his own as well. There are some ninja which can either avoid, negate or counter and overcome: Amaterasu, Tsukyomi, Susano, Katon, Totsuka, Yata, Genjutsu, Suiton, Clones and maybe some powerful ones like Izanagi, Izanami and Kotoamtsukami.
I agree , Itachi did fail in alot of ways , but like the old saying goes he was too smart for his own good. I don't see how me could have kage like thinking process but not see alternate route of these situations such as if the uchiha clan was still around you think pein would have been about to crush the leaf like that or that the war won't have been in the alliances favor from the start.
How could Itachi possibly think that torching your little brother would have been the best idea, He should have just told him the truth from the jump and let sasuke live a happy life.
Like i understand why/what itachi was doing it for but he was wrong and at least he admits it. I like his character i honestly do but they way he went about things were just all wrong.
I can tell you bro, I'm trying my best to analyze and study Itachi and I can assure you how foolish some Itachi fans are by overestimating him. He is almost as much of a fail character than Sasuke but Sasuke is still much worse.
We also have to understand that Itachi wasn't exactly a normal person. He was himself traumatized by the war that occured involving his village. Ah, i've just realized another thing. If he were that intelligent as to have known what happened to him was bad, you know about witnessing people dying in front of him, then he shouldn't have given Sasuke the similar experience when he killd his parents in front of him at such a young age as well. Don't you think?
Itachi's story is so sad. Imagine having to kill your whole clan, parents, friends, etc. just for the sake of some greater good...
His life may have been a failure (because of Sasuke) but stopping Kabuto was huge.
I'd never give my family an experience which that of like a war or battle. It is even more distressing, immoral and psychotic to kill your family with your own hand than if they were to get killed by someone else. Not that such a thing would happen, but if a situation would arise such as like Itachi's then one would have to contemplate on what action to take.
Stopping Kabuto would've been so easy for some one like Shisui, imagine just winning the battle before it would even begin thanks to Kotoamatsukami.
Exactly he delayed the village's time for it to be crushed. who could've stopped it back then?
There was Shisui who was similar to Itachi in many ways. He must have been proficient in Taijutsu, Kenjutsu and Genjutsu. These must've been the reasons for why he was considered a talented ninja like Itachi said himself. He may also have been really good at Ninjutsu even though he may have had less jutsu such as Shunshin no jutsu, Katon and Kotoamatsukami. But a ninja doesn't need lots of jutsu just to be considered talented.
There was also Obito, who actually did take part in anihilating the Uchiha Clan. Some ninja later on suspected that Itachi could'nt have done it on his own, so then it was discovered that another shinobi was involved and it was Obito when he used to wear the mask.
So there were some shinobi who could've stopped this other than Itachi.
