Jiraya Vs Itachi (Possibilities And My Opinion)

Jiraya knows how to avoid itachi's mankyou sharingan with Sennin Mode.
He got toad summoning, + his hair and his natural transformation jutsus.
It was already stood that Jiraya learned Naruto how to avoid genjutsus in his training.
Jiraya is a smart fighter.

Itachi has the Amaterasu and Susanno that actually is very powerful. Jiraya can def himself using the hair technique, and control it as a Susanno. He got Toad summonings who can attack the susanno, and his powerful rasengan is one attack, the powerful sennin mode. With sennin mode jiraya truly becomes a powerful warrior, reason why Jiraya died fighting Pain was that their were 6 of them and one of those bodies (Yahiko) was Jiraya's own student. So that was a little bite unfair fight. He was already old though.

If i say Jiraya now it can be quite hard to win over Itachi, Maybe a fifty fifty because they have the same stats as a shinobi.
But if i say Jiraya in his prime or even 30-40 years old he can probably have a more bigger chance to win over itachi.
Itachi got his susanno and Amaterasu but that doesn't stop Jiraya for doing someone else + Amaterasu is a high wasting chakra.

This is my opinion though.
It will be hard to say if the stats is the same. But it's truly diffrent to say because characters counters characters.
Rinnegan > Sharingan. Every jutsu/ character has a weekness, example. Naruto > Pein.

Example.
Lightning > Water
Fire > Wind.
Lightning>Suigetsu

Maybe Jiraya can win or lose. Only Itachi-Fanboys underrastimates him and thinks itachi is the best in Naruto. I am not underasstimating both of them, but this is true that, Itachi isn't the best (Everyone got weekness and counters).

he can get finger genjutsu'd at anytime unless he looks at itachi's feet.

i really can't see jiraya winning i am sorry except he he uses frog song and to enter sage mode takes a while, not sure itachi will give him space.

Summonings are useless because they have no chance of evading amateratsu. Gamabunta vs amateratsu means bunta looses. I don't think that is a risk j-man is willing to take. As far as jiraiya evading amateratsu, I will give it to him in sage mode but out side of sagemode it is supposed to be immpossible. Also have you forgotten that itachi has tsukuyomi which can trap anybody who looks into his eyes. Which means jiriaya would have to evade Amateratsu(which is supposed to be impossible by normal means) without looking directly at him. susanoo is the perfect defense( Itachi's also has yata mirror) I don't think that jiraiya really has anything that can even hope to defeat it. If jiraya can get into sagemode really quickly he has a chance. Even saying that jiraya still seems to be on the loosing end of this fight. I give itachi a 70% chance of victory(and that is being generous, considering I see Itachi holding a considerable chance of winning)

Jiraiya could try Doton Yomi Numa to drown Itachi, but, other than that, he doesn't have the speed to avoid Amaterasu.

Oh come on don't tell me you forgot how Jiraya entered SM during the fight with Pain. It was the first time when we saw what SM is.
Moreover Jiraya was in Pains turf himself. Jiraya is good at analyzing and he is a great fighter same goes for Itachi as well. But taking 3-4 pain's out itself is not a small thing when you don't even know what you up against. If he can do that with Pains he can do it with ease with Itachi since its one on one .

Why do all of you guys think Itachi is able to just spam Susanoo and Amaterasu? It's not like they cost nothing. They cost an ass-load of chakra. On top of that, he doesn't have that much chakra compared to everyone else.
I'm not saying he's a puss, but everybody saying that Itachi will just spam Amaterasu for Jiraya's summons then stall with Susanoo are silly. Yeah yeah yeah, "genjutsu doe." Genjutsu isn't always a damn one-hit KO.

Basically, Itachi is ten times smarter and more observant than Jiriaya. Itachi's techniques are much stronger.

Answer: Jiraya has supports 2 that helps him, he enters Sage Mode. Itachi keep wasting chakra with his eyes.
