Don't get me wrong, I am not an Itachi hater. He is also one of my fave characters. He did try even though he didn't quite make it. U_U

Itachi had one of the toughest lives out of all characters. He did what he thought was the best. U_U

Unfortunately, what he thought was best was not very bright at all. There were many other characters who also faced difficult a childhood. There were other options which he should've thought about but I guess he had no time, since the coup was about to begin.

Itachi is amazing. He did stop edo tensie. Madara had already broken the edo contract, so he was no longer an edo under Kabuto's contorl.

he stopped Naruto from turning into another Madara, since naruto was acting exactly like nagato and pain.

he prevented Tobi from attacking the village and hindered the akatsuki.

he stopped the Uchiha coup de ta.

though he did fail with sasuke, and he didn't defeat nagato, and he didn't kill Tobi. He did fail i give you that. but Itachi is a awesome, character, but he is a side character. not a mian character.

if he was a main character he would've probably succeded but imagine if he did succeed, no tobi, no akatuski, no evil sasuke. no Naruto plot.

The mere fact that Itachi was able to escape Edo Tensei and release it was all thanks to Shisui through his eye. Sadly he doesn't get the credit but in fact it's Itachi who does. Damn people for thinking so narrow.

Since when was Naruto gonna become another Madara. Naruto is the biggest inspiration compared to all, and the teen with the most strongest will.

Sasuke alone with his hatred was able to kill Danzo, Itachi didn't help at all. He only appeared for like a couple of seconds to a minute? It was also thanks to Plot no Jutsu that Sasuke gained the victory otherwise Danzo could've used Kotoamatsukami with ease.

The village was still attacked and destroyed in the process while the Akatsuki returned during the War.

If he was main character, yah he would've been successful obviously. But that would've been the same case for pretty much any other character if they were a main character.

haha had a similar situation, after they took my rep way i starting not caring for my rep. so now i say what i want, to who i want, and where i want to say anything. my thoughts are so what if they give me a infraction or band me for a few day, thats not going to stop me from entering this website and saying what i want to say.

Pein destroying Konoha isn't Itachi's failure. He was dead, what was he gonna do.

He could've planned ahead just like he did for Sasuke and the village. Pein should've been an obvious threat in his eyes, since he possessed the most powerful dojutsu out of the three. He should've plotted to kill him or somehow take his eyes.

Come to think of it when Itachi sealed Nagato as an edo, he may also not have resisted from using Totsuka to get him back for destroying the village .

He did what he had to do. No other character could do what he did.

Of course there was. There was Shisui with great potential who could've easily swooped to Madara's level just with his very few jutsu alone. And if he would've somehow been able to obtain Senju DNA, he would be in the Top 5 without a doubt. I can provide a thread for you to see if your not convinced.

Let's not suggest that rep-bars are somehow an indication of a good posters. Some pretty head-stuck-up their-asses posters with free show of high-end brilliance have so many rep bars that it makes the whole thing seem pretty stupid.

It kind of is... Itachi mentally tortured Sasuke who was seven years old then he did it again 6 years later,Itachi even admitted he turned Sasuke into a monster and that it was his fault that Sasuke is consumed with hatred.
