[Theory] Kurama possibly never evil, misunderstood perhaps

If we think about it, the kyyubi has never actually KILLED anyone on his own accord, anytime we have seen kurama attack or kill someone its because he was under the control of obito and madara. Sure minato locked\sealed away the hatred of the nine tails however if we read inbetween the lines, the nine tails was always either alone or controled, he had nothing and had to resort to minipulating naruto when he was a child. To be honest he only wanted a friendn though he claimed he 'hated' naruto. Kurama has offered naruto power so many times, naruto would of dieed against part 1 sasuke if it wasn't for kyyubi chakra and naruto screwd kurama over everytime and never seemed to read inbetween the lines as to why he's so evil untill late shippuden.

Obito only used the nine-tails hatred and lust for destruction but kurama never attacked off his own back. When the sage was about the beasts would gather around him and admire him, because the sage loved tailed beast, after the sage went his hatred began to grow.

That's my interperatation of the situation, how about you guys? What's your thoughts on this?
