That luffy wont eat the mere mera no mi....there r two probable cases...provided luffy wins the tournament and gets the fruit (which still might be a trap).

1)Luffy keeping the fruit as a memento of Ace...till the end of series....OR

2)From the last chapter we can see....Luffy was insisting Franky to eat that the fruit....which he denied)so he might insist the rest of his crew members to do so as well...

I Like the 1st case to happen....

I like the first one - keeping it as a momento, but I don't think that Goda would want that to happen, since it is a very powerful fruit. What I'd really like to see is a Fishman like Jimbe eating a DF - haven't seen that yet.

The One Piece forum is completely seperate from this one, they are not linked at all, but there is a one piece section here for a reason. It's mainly major fans of Naruto who like One Piece that come here and discuss both - but more of Naruto, and the opposite on the other forum.

True. Remember, Zoro wanted to learn Kinemon's fire swordsmanship, so it's possible that Oda is foreshadowing this.

I also want to see how objects, such as swords or cannons, can consume a devil fruit. To me, it sounds really interesting actually.

Actually Vander Decken ate a DF (mark-mark fruit).

I wouldn't rule out the idea that Luffy won't eat the Mera Mera fruit since we don't know what's going to happen, don't be so hasty to assume you know what's going to happen.

I like that theory just because it’s something a lot of people wont consider even though it also kind of works. I guess it’s the perfect mix of unexpected and common sense.

It wouldn't work. A random girl with Ace's fruit? Needs to be someone who would rock the fruit, like Sabo or maybe Shanks. So, Luffy should save the fruit for later.
And no way that mera will be wasted on an item
