Darth Vader/Anakin is the face of the "Lucas star wars" or the "present day" star wars.The "chosen one". The one that brought balance between the light and the dark. He is a man, who was once a Jedi master and then became a Sith lord, but under the service of the "Emperor".

Darth Revan is the face of the old republic. He is th eonly who has been a Jedi Master, a Sith Lord, and then in the end NEUTRAL. He conquered the galaxy, and then helped save the galaxy from Malak. Probably the strongest force user, and combatant to exist in Star Wars universe.

The damage done to his body forcing vader to become mostly robotic limited what vader could learn in the dark side. That's how he didn't reach his full potential in the dark side, even though he was a beast. He never would have beaten Palpatine in a one on one to become the master. Revan was pretty bada** but if you are to believe the sith way Vader never learning all that he could of should have been able to beat Revan.

Well Vader was stronger then Anakin. So he kinda did still stay with his potential. And also, in that aspect Revan lost his memory, and then had to regain it. And then after all that he was ambushed, he could've beat the Emperor. And then still go on to become strong.
