um nope.you dont understand itachi's backstory do you...

itachi wanted sasuke to protect konoha.. he failed, sasuke took revenge instead.

itachi wanted tobi dead. he failed, tobi still alive after amaterasu.

itachi wants to stop edo to help konoha win the war. he failed, he made it worst by giving madara a chance to escape edo.

Madara does know of Inzanami as he taught Obito about all Uchiha kinjutsu and he taught him Inzanagi and Inzanami is basically the counterpart of Inzanagi, Madara would defeat Itachi in a fight though.
