Well the problem is that if Madara knows himself, and believes in his path than Izanami won't even phase him. Izanami basically will defeat anyone who is blindly following a path or not being true to who they are.

I seriously doubt that this is true although Itachi is pretty good when it comes to fighting and brain power Madara essentially knows everything there is about the Uchiha and his arsenal is bigger than Itachi plus Madara isn't stupid enough to fall for Inzami.
