The only one of your theories that is likely is the sage mode, and even then i don't think she will get it. it will be nice if she did but the downside to sage mode is the time limit and i think if it was to be her powerup that it should be one of maybe 2 powerups at least because sage mode isnt just something you can get into like any other technique

The only way it's truly possible is the fact Tsunade is dying. Kishimoto seems to have forgotten about the Kages though, so we have nothing to go on until they return to the war.

Do not get me wrong I do think Sakura might get some type of development as character. Sakura is the main female character of the story I know Kishi does ignore Sakura a lot unlike Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi. Yeah I'm curious too if the kages are alive or not. If Tsunade survives Madara attack then I don't know what to say xD.

oh i know Kishimoto is laughing, he created Sakura to be the represenation of a normal human. That is why she doesn't have any massice power-ups and can be soloed by most of K11 in part 1. He didn't want her to be powerful because that would've ruined her character. she is simply a character that is there to support Sasuke and Naruto.
