if you think about it there were only three real ninja, at least three i can think of that actually followed the ninja code to the BEST OF THERE ABILITY more than any normal ninja in the new up coming gen.

From your interpretations on what Ninja Code is, I would have to pick Kakashi, Neji, and Shikamaru. These three performed to the best of their abilities regarding this, and even gained merit while doing so.

Saving your comrades while in battle preserves your team, ergo doesn't weaken your platoon's strength. There are times when fulfilling the mission is important, though even if you do not succeed, the experience of being on the mission wasn't in vein. That's when having more of your platoon alive is a bonus. This is without taking into account mutual or romantic relationships.

Ninja by saying good in all fields of ninja art and dedicated to their "way of ninja" I would say Kakashi and Itachi.Can't think of anyone else who lives up to those standards (hype and non proven abilities are not taken into consideration)

yea ok ,but ninja code is to never fail, okay in the leaf thats okay, but when it comes down to really getting the job done you need real ninja if the ANBU dont worry about saveing a friend he had lunch with that night he's worried about the mission that why sai and his brother had no feelings real ninja have no feeling what your talking about makes more sence in every way BUT we all really kno what ninja code is, example sai.

thats my new list i didnt pick orochi. cause he was to reckless did think plans through, good strong ninja n=knew how to live in the shadows but reckless personality, most others(ninja) jus cared to much for other ppl in battle and would abondon the mission for one person even if they knew completing it SAVED 20
