nope read chapter titled kotoamtsuki nagato was supposed to be triggered to react to attacks automatically yet itachi hit him with amatertsu and instead he pushed it away with shinra tensei preta path would have helped him get chakara and it would have not incapacitated him yet he did not use preta path why? because he couldnt...

Yeah, going by their logic, If he use Preta path then he couldn't Shinra tensei it off because he didn't use it.

People seem to think amaterasu is immune to chakra absorbing effects for what ever reason.

He is talking about if Nagato can absorb Amaterasu, and he can. Even if I don't like Nagato and Sasuke is one of my favorites, it's a fact.

theres no point in absorbing the flames with preta path when he already has infinite chakra.

Last I checked amatarasu uses chakra, so It can be absorbed.
