It what possible ways are Senju more powerful than Uchiha?

I'm not very well articulated in the Naruto-verse. But its just that...you have Sharingan being so hyped up in part 1, then its original abilities took a back seat to Mangekyou abilities.

I mean even in the heat of battle, clan vs clan, Uchihas should be able to predict OR counter moves, and cast varying levels of genjutsu. For example Senju with a sword is about to do a basic slash, Uchiha easily sees this, blocks, then counters. Said Senju has no way of blocking.

It just seems weird that the Uchiha clan was "easily" (note the quotations) subdued, and that Tobirama killed Izuna (who had MS).

madara and izuna made the uchiha as powerful of a clan as they were, everyone else was pretty much just fodder with three tomoe or less. whereas almost all the senju had remarkable chakra and skill.

long battles that is the reason why they can't win against senju's
i think madara is the only 1 who can fight 24 hours against 9 senju's

Ummm the senju r mores stronger because they're strength is natural for an uchia unlocking sharigan period was considered rare to unlock 3 tomoe is even rarer
Sharigan is activated and upgraded through emotion (usually negative like hatred or sorrow) for it to trigger. And activate
MS only 6 uchia had it ever
EMS only 2
So yeah overall senju win by far cuz they're strength is natural and doesn't require emotion to be strong ur just naturally r it seems for an uchia to be strong u need to have horrible life tbh

Cause Senju had no particular technique and they mastered what ever they had.. whereas the Uchiha's unlocking MS was rare and would eventually lose their sight..
