I've been trying to think it through for a while, narrowing it down to just about a few theories.

One would be that Kamui does not make you go blind. Fair enough, yet all the other MS jutsus have drawbacks and Shisui's can only be used once a decade. Surely that would be OP.

Another is that Kakashi is not an Uchiha. Thus the Sharingan does not work for him as it does for others. Again, it would seem odd. Danzo used KA without any issues.

And then it hit me.

There you go. Look at his eyes. Sasuke uses one eye for Amaterasu and one for Enton. One's bleeding ( the Amaterasu eye ) yet both of them are blind.

And that's pretty much when I realised why Kakashi doesn't go blind. When the user goes blind, both eyes lose their ability. That's the only explanation, since obviously Sasuke's Amaterasu eye was used more often than the Enton one, yet both went blurry at the same time.

Obito has both Senju DNA, great chakra -and- is a pure blood Uchiha. He also awakened his MS more than 16 years before the current Arc and has been using it ever since. Kakashi can't go blind because Obito can't. The eyes are linked, as shown before.

I will accept any number of these theories since I doubt it'll ever be explained in the manga.

Point is, Kakashi and Obito are not losing their eyesight.

He does if he uses the Sharingan too much....same with other users of the Sharingan

Pretty sure Kakashi has used Kamui more than Sasuke has used his MS and there was no proof of him going blind, whereas Sasuke went blind in a few weeks.

He's part Senju

So funny.

If he was a Senju he wouldn't have crappy chakra.

I'd rather have Kishi explain it, but I don't think he will. I'll just call it a huge error on Kishi's part.

The most prevalent theory that holds the most substance is the fact kakashi is not an uchiha.
Tobirama described the process in scientific terms. If we were to do the same then we must also realize that kakashi does not share the same genetic make up.The eye was transplanted.

Danzo didn't have issues ?Danzo had senju dna which is why he could use it and even then barely manages to sustain himself.

The most ridiculous theory i ever heard was the eyes are connected.

You offer no reasoning behind your "theory"
Connected how ? And through what ? What is your evidence that suggest that is is true ? Has this been hinted at before ?
It raises way more questions then it answers and does the opposite of what a theory actually is meant to do.

Even the very little you say makes no sense at defining your theory.

You say obito is a pure blooded uchiha are you saying sasuke isn't ?
Everything you said before stating your theory is completely irrelevant.

He does have a powerful MS, one of the most powerful IMO. My reasoning is that both eyes go equally blind. Seeing that Obito has Senju dna...

Sounds crazy, and it is, but I think it's the same why both eyes got to the MS stage at the same time... They are connected.

Maybe this hit you?? A thread half an hour ago...

Anyways, I agree... ;)

HUh? That's not even a theory. THat's fact. Obito saw through Kakashi's sharingan. Did you not read the OP?

So funny.

If he was a Senju he wouldn't have crappy chakra.

*sigh*... Why do people keep saying he has such shit chakra? He's been going on how many days fighting, using his sharingan and even had the strength to apparently use kamui on 3-6 bijuu.
The only reason people say he has bad chakra levels is because in the begining of shippiden, Kamui put a huge strain on his body only because it was a new ability he discovered and over time used it more and gained understanding of his ability, harnessing that so it wouldnt have such reprecussions. Now how could that be done without excellent chakra control?
He's not an Uchiha (so he shouldn't even be able to survive after using an MS tech since his body wasn't born for it), he doesn't need Hashi's cells like danzo did, and he certainly seems to have an ungodly amount of stamina in this war.

Senju.
Nuff said.

Now OT. I believe he and Obito are not going blind simply because you need both eyes and progressive use of both abilities to lose eyesight. That simple. *shrug*

i have a better theory

when one gets an eye from some one else he gets EMS (never losing mangekyo sharingan)

kakashi's eyes are more like EMS than MS

Kakashi himself admitted that he has low chakra reserves.During his fight with pein,he used a lightning clone and said that he exhausted over half of his chakra.
