I actually really enjoyed this week's chapter,i give it a 5/5 from me;) .What i learned from this chapter,

1.How the uchiha and senju founded the leaf village.
2.Hashirama was the one who suggested the idea and name for the role of ,"hokage''.
3.Madara was the one who named the village,"Konoha,.....the village hidden in the leaves....''.
4.Madara was not just a complete evil monster,he just cared too much for those who were close to him, like izuna or his clan, just like hashirama had said in the previous chapters.
5.The main person who disliked the uchiha and madara was tobirama, that bas***d.
6.This thread really explained the events and emotions of the senju and uchiha(especially madara),regarding the foundation of the leaf village, peace treaty of the opposing clans, and the reason of madara's deflection from the hidden leaf.
7.Madara really liked Hashirama as a brother, companion so he didn't mind when hashirama was elected the hokage but he was worried that after Hashirama would die, tobirama would be elected the 2nd hokage due to his unpopularity(Madara's) and that there was still a chance that hashirama would chose his blood related brother(tobirama) rather than his acclaimed brother(Madara). If this happened, tobirama would surely have dicriminate and persecute the Uchiha.

So these were the reason of madara's deflection from the hidden leaf.U_U
Excellent summation of things learned in this chapter. Thumbs up to you sir. I agree with these as well.

Everyone keeps saying how lame it is that the last page quoted Madara as turning "Evil" this simply a poor translation. ***********'s is much better saying "Madara's extreme blood lust". That translation sounds much less lame. As a whole the *********** chapter was better translated IMO, check that out before rating the chapter as it may increase your vote.

This week's chapter was a (5/5) for me. The things that were revealed were important to the creation of Konoha and the relevance of the entire story. It did show us that Madara/Hashi's relationship was different than Sasuke/Naruto's, and that Madara had a very important role in the development of the village. I do feel sorry for Madara that no one trusted him outside of Hashi, and yes Hashi does seem a bit naive(about Madara and his potential to be a threat) but he is trying to solidify a bond between them and put the village together peacefully. It is easy to point the finger at Tobi as he is very stubborn, not trusting of the Uchiha, and def harbors ill will toward Madara. Tobi does have a point that democracy is the fair way to elect the Hokage, but seeing how Hashi was willing to let Madara become the Hokage for the sake of peace(btw Uchiha and Senju) and to give him a sense of trust and companionship in his fellow villagers. As someone stated in another post, Madara just couldn't find his place in the village once it had been established, he knew Tobi would persecute him and the other Uchiha if Hashi was gone, and he could not even earn the trust of his own clan, all he had was Hashi. I also saw posts regarding his exit being less dramatic and more lame than what they expected, I for one did not mind his exit. He set his only friend straight on his thoughts and feelings before leaving the village, that seems realistic to me.

I have enjoyed these flashbacks and learning about the two most legendary shinobi ever. So unlike many other members I will continue to sit back, read and enjoy the ride. I also can't wait to see what will happen next, whether it's another flashback or back to the war and the present day events, I will enjoy it. Thank you Kishi for this epic manga you have created, I just wish it never had to end.

Very interesting chapter.

I can see some people starting to dislike Tobirama after this, but in truth, both Madara and Hashirama are to blame.
Hashi seemed like a very naive person, even more so that Naruto.
I don't know, to me...

Hashirama isn't naive, he is being more of a diplomat, he understands what is going on, thus he controls his brother and talks to Madara, trying to make both into let bygones be bygones. However, Tobirama and Madara won't let go of their grudge toward each other, which is understandable due to past events.
Naruto on the other hand, he isn't naive, he is a simpleton ... but I like the guy.

Seriously..? Madara turns evil just like that...? Am not convinced...It was more spectacular when Nagato turned good...I need a better explanation...

Are people seriously blaming Tobirama for Madara's defection and decent into madness? Hashi wanted Madara as Hokage, Tobirama said that the village should be the one to decide their leader. Madara overheard, was butthurt and overacted ten-thousand fold.
I agree. Although it's sad that even the Uchiha didn't trust Madara even though he was their leader. Also I think Madara went nuts after reading the tablet, about the sage etc.

That was a really good chapter tbh, very informative...Some of us learned a lot more info and others were reassured...For a second, I thought for sure that Hashirama was actually going to kill himself and I didn't expect Madara to be the one to stop him at all...It's great to see how they reconnected with one another, for a while, and how they still possessed the same childish personalities...

People are going back and forth between blaming and not blaming Tobirama for the Leaf's problems, but he's obviously a subtle problem...He wanted to get rid of the Uchiha and the way he and Madara glared at each other proved their dislike for one another...Madara just happened to overhear it, obviously Tobirama wasn't going to make it known aloud

I feel as though next week's chapter will run through one last recap of the battle at the Final Valley and the flashbacks of Hashirama and Madara will stop...We all know what Sasuke will ask Minato, if anything, bnut I'm still ready for that :hooray:

Soooooo........are we ever going to learn why Tobirama created the Edo Tensei???

3/5 for me. Tbh I don't really like how Hashi seems so impulsive for a lack of a better word. I mean the guy is practically putting madara before his only brother for goodness sake. I get he's strong and everything. but I'm a little dissappointed kishi made him so weak-minded.

This situation is kind of sad, Madara felt useless and untrusted. Hearing from Tobirama "the stronger a Uchiha's eyes are the crazier they get" I guess Madara is going to show them "crazy"

3/5

Out of all of chapters during this flashback I've seen them all as 4/5's but this one kinda hit a low. I don't like how madara just "goes evil" by saying a few words, I feel like it was rushed.

Hopefully the next chapter can make up for this.

This was a very good chapter but I gave it a 3/5 because Kishi wasted a lot of spaces just so that he could keep pushing the flash backs for longer period... now this flash backs will end in 2 weeks for me Zzz.... However this chapter explained quite a lot to me:

It showed how much Hashirama actually regards Madara; even after defeating Madara, he would rather kill himself rather than take Madara and the loosing party's life. There after, they both showed love and respect to each other and made the village (as they said it was mainly built by Hashirama, since he has the wood technique) but Hashirama would then unselfishly let Madara name the village. Later Hashirama thought of the position of a Hokage so that Madara could take more glory, but because of the situation (due to Madara loosing his credibility) Tobirama managed to force his ideology on his brother about letting village decide and all that (I think Hashirama is too soft in every way).

Madara was not born evil, just like Tobirama said before, the Uchiha's love is too entangling as we saw with the choices he made because of his lost brothers by not keeping his friendship with Hashirama. Whereas I think that of the senju is relentless as we have seen with Hashirama..... Madara is a man who has fought all his life, he stomached a lot of things became strong but yet fell in battle to Hashirama and faced defeat, lost what he wanted to protect the most (Izuna Uchiha, his brother). All these things made him seem like a failure, and then to wrap it with him loosing the trust of his own clan is just to heavy.

WHY MADARA LEFT THE VILLAGE: Madara really liked Hashirama as a brother, so he didn't mind when hashirama was elected the hokage because he knew Hashirama had a good heart but as he said, it's just been like a silent war so somehow it showed that he was hurt by the villager regarding Hashirama more than him and putting him in the shadows. Hashirama knew this so he tried to make Madara feel better with the position of a 2nd hokage, but Madara was worried that after Hashirama, Tobirama his younger brother would be elected the 2nd hokage due to the fact that he seemed like a failure and also the village will choose Hashirama's blood brother compared to madara his acclaimed brother. Madara knew and could see what will happen to Uchiha clan if Tobirama would become the 2nd hokage...

:heh:Also another reason that Madara left is that; he saw the true meaning of what was on the stone because he had the better eyes. After looking at that stone, he realised that he could power up even more than where he is, and to do so, he had to go and train even more where he won't be seen, and then try to get the other side of the blood line (hence why he murdered the Uzumaki clans but if that didnt work for his experiment), so he would then come from outside to fight and try to defeat Hashirama and take his cells.

So his evil intents (i.e his newly found goal) plus Tobirama as an obstacle turned him inside out.

TBH, I think Hashirama will remove and collect all his cells back now that he has realised what has happened... there is a reason that Kishi made him unbound from edo tensei... when he meets madara he will surely collect it and Madara will feel naked hmm

<div class="bbWrapper">It was a good read this week. I don't blame Tobirama for wanting to keep and eye on Madara. He obviously can't be trusted anyways. Hasirama is letting his &quot;friendship&quot; cloud his judgement. I can't wait for next weeks chapter.</div>

Ok, so basically the past few weeks have been this...

Hashirama: "Ok, Sasuke, it time for a history lesson." -points to plothole'd blackboard-
...
Pretty much.
I like that we get to go back and see more of the past ninja, even if it makes me think, "Well then...the concept of building friendships and then smashing them seems to be a fad as of late..."

I really liked this chapter, and my continuing fondness for Madara grows with each one I read. I knew he wouldn't let Hashirama kill himself, but I didn't know he named the village. That's pretty cool! Things continue to come together! This chapter's a major foreshadowing of Naruto and Sasuke's final confrontation.
