In no way am I going to try to bash anyone on here; however, regarding to my previous thread, I realized that it was only banned because a certain someone who I, for now, shall not name, asked the moderator drizzle to close it. The words were it was a controversial thread and that it needed to be closed. Me and others were simple arguing but was said to be a stupid thread and this "person" was tired of dealing with stupid people. That thread was in no way disobeying the rules nor was it getting out of hand. So I simply wanted to ask if anyone besides a moderator had the "power" to decide whether or not to close a thread, because apparently some do

I am quite pleased that thread is closed, I am not satisfied with the reason it was closed. So, my other question is, even if the thread itself is in no way breaking the rules and others wine to a moderator to close it because they are tired of dealing with "stupid people", do you think a thread should be closed just because some one doesn't approve the subject. Just wanting to see some of your views out there based on the "rules". Please no bashing or trolling. So what do you think?

I just wanted to know that if for example I got enough people to ask a mod to close a certain thread, would the mod's be forced to close it. Just wondering how much "freedom", if you will, we have on the threads.

Certain people wine to mods and admins about every little thing.Mods do not "give in" on those complains,if that's what you mean,unless of course there is a reason.Threads are being closed only when something on there is against the rules.There are some controversial subjects that are causing flame wars so that kind of threads are being closed or deleted.
My opinion is that since some people don't seem to be able to make a conversation with other members without insulting or swearing,it's ok to close controversial threads(if things get out of hand of course).Sometimes,some threads are being closed for not very valid reasons imo,but that rarely happens.

Sometimes users go to mods asking them to close threads. When that is the case some mods close it so they will stop being bothered. However, it would be proper for the mod to look over the thread, judge whether or not it is breaking the rules, and then close it. Mods need to be more dominant but that doesn't always happen, giving winey people control...... :shrug:

If you have a problem with a mod closing a thread, you should go to that mod and talk about it.
As you must've known by now if you had read the rules, you are not allowed to make these kinds of threads. You go to that specific mod and talk about it.
If the answer is not on your taste, you can go to the G-Mods or Admins.
