We all know that without that hatred and revenge agenda, uchihas will never live up to their OP potential, even itachi had to fire up sasuke's hatred level in order for him to become superior, and Itachi killing spree was based on his disgusting feeling and later become hatred due to his clans' bad attitude. So....enough said, if they had nothing more to hate, their sharingan will dimmed and they got no more ocular powers...i guess. In theory, they had to stay in that mode "forever"? Hating and in despair? I cannot think else than this, so it means that they just live to hate "something"?

It's safe to say that the Uchiha's we know so well have hatred behind their eyes of power, so maybe. We've yet to see an Uchiha who awakens his Mangekyou Sharingan by finding love and blessings in the meaning of life lol....However, we have also recently learned that the clans hate stems from their love So perhaps there are possibilities that have only just been doubted based by what we've seen. So the answer to your question remains rather dim itself. Uchiha's can be strong without their hatred. Ask Sasuke, who was deemed a genius before we even knew he had a Sharingan; whose abilities were commendable even before achieving the Mangekyou. This is highly disagreeable though, considering their Sharingan is their trump card, the open source of their power. People have come to interpret the clan as evil just because of the offspring that has been left in the ninja world... However, have the clan never be slaughtered, I highly doubt Shinobi like Sasuke or Itachi would be the way they are...
