Why are people always seperating Nagato and his Mazo/Paths?

I find it pretty weird that people always ask if it is Nagato or Pein. If it's Nagato than he can use his paths and if it's Pein it's only his paths. Nagato with his paths is unbeatable by any living shinibi. He would own Tobi because Tobi doesn't have the Rinnegan if Nagato has them. Nagato was actually invincible when he was alive. It was also shown that Nagato had the ability to summon the Mazo so that should be his power too.
My top 5 is actually:
1. Hashirama
2. EMS Madara
3. Rinnegan Obito
4. Nagato
5. Kabuto

I don't use edo's because something like edo Madara isn't how he was when he was living. I'm not giving Kabuto edo's because he didn't use them in battle, he controlled them from a distance.

When Nagato was healthy he didn't have his Pain Rikudou. When he had his Pain Rikudou he was crippled so he couldn't fight himself. Edo Nagato didnt have them either. He never had both at any point that's why they are separated. With Gedo Mazo. Edo Nagato lacks that since Obito had it at the time. When Nagato was health the Mazo was empty. When he used Pain to fight the Mazo was not empty. Its also stated that control of the Mazo is limited w/o Senju and Uchiha DNA so I doubt Nagato can use the Mazo like Obito did.

Nagato is far from invincible and he can't beat Obito as he can't touch him due to Kamui.

Also your reason for Nagato owning Obito holds no water in a vs thread discussion.

The part about Nagato beating Obito is indeed incorrect. I meant to say that he won't be beaten by Obito.

Nagato can't beat Madara(He is the original ower of the Rinnegan) and he can't beat Hashirama(The only one to beat Madara). He can beat Naruto, as evidenced by the manga, who was saved by plot no jutsu. He can't beat Itachi who figured out Nagato's jutsu's weaknesses. I doubt he can beat DSM Kabuto. He can beat Sasuke. Nagoto is top 5 but he would be 1 above Naruto.

@bold, that's completely retarded. Nagato himself never used his paths in battle. The whole reason he created the 6 Paths Jutsu was because he was crippled by Hanzo. Kabuto can actually use and control and keep Edos active while he's fighting, meaning he can use them in battle. We're not entirely sure if Nagato can actually battle and use the Paths at the same time.
