[Theory] Has Sasuke losed the ability to use the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan?

I know, I know. Quite the shocker, but bear with me.

Here, chapter 585, we see Sasuke with his EMS, using Amaterasu.

The first time Sasuke used his Mangekyou -without- the EMS part of it ( Itachi's MS ) showing inside it was right after Itachi used Izanami on Kabuto.

You can clearly see that is not EMS but rather MS.

Now, what is the logic behind this? I think Itachi using Izanami screwed up Sasuke's EMS since the eye that uses it loses its sight and you cannot have EMS without transplanting both eyes.

Now, you might think that makes no sense. Itachi is dead. HOWEVER.

Remember Kakashi and Obito's eyes were linked together, even after Obito's eye was transplanted to Kakashi. They activated the MS at the same time because Obito saw Kakashi killing Rin.

so it very much makes sense that whatever happens to Itachi's eyes happens to Sasuke's, since Sasuke now has Itachi's eyes.

Some of you have said that Sasuke has simply chosen to use MS instead of EMS. But... he has Itachi's eyes. Wouldn't his Sharingan look like Itachi's, just like Kakashi's is like Obito's?

If he really chose to use MS instead of EMS ( again, why would he? ) wouldn't it have been Itachi's which were shown?

So basically, I am saying that Sasuke's EMS took the hit of Izanami and he only lost the Itachi portion of his eyes ( since they fused? ) instead of him losing his full sight.

But you can't get EMS with just 1 eye.

Only by taking and transplanting the Mangekyō of another Uchiha — integrating the two pairs of eyes in the process — can the vision be restored, a process that results in the creation of an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan (永遠の万華鏡写輪眼, Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan).

There is no benefit to switch between MS - EMS.
EMS appears to use same mechanic as EDO tensei. Basicly they are edo MS that regenerate thus defeat strain and blindness aswell as provide free chakra and power of old user.
Now itachi sealed the power of his sharingan with izanami, and as madara stated u need both eyes to awaken the power. Therefore itachi's power is lost and sasuke has normal eyes.

Just a speculation/theory. Makes sense? So i agree with u

As much as I dislike Sauce it is HIGHLY unlikely kishi would take this away from him, especially because we literally saw nothing from his EMS. If what you are suggesting is true then it would either have to be a temporary loss, or he will be compensated with some other powerup which HAS to be the rinnegan if not EMS.

Either that or Naruto is gonna get extracted....

I think he still has the EMS, but if he doesn't your theory seems to be the only logical reason as to why he does not have it.

I kinda previewed this outcome too.
Sasuke could get rinnegan, cuz senju DNA doesnt appear to be a must. Madara had to wait many years to awaken rinnegan. It means that something else was missing, my guess madara got over hatred and accepted himself = IZANAMI crap. Right now sasuke can do the same and get rinnegan sometime soon. After all ES supposed to have sage eyes.

Other possible power ups could be snake sage mode and raiton arrmour, but both are little far fetched and kinda late on timeline.

I also though naruto could get extracted, but its too late now as juubi is already in process, (so it seems).

I think kishi intends to sacrifice sasuke's eyes in battling madara and obito in order to make him redeemed. But i hope im wrong here XD
