Was Danzo a stronger ninja?

Ehhh... Maybe not. I mean I think there was a reason he wasn't written into the story. I mean Pain was strong enough to take on ALMOST all of Konoha, but had Danzo and root stay down because it would have severely put the fight in Konoha's favor, especially if Naraka path was taken down first.

Had Danzo been there with Root, they might have actually won WITHOUT Naruto as Danzo has Izanagi which would have been extremely useful against God Realm's Chibaku Tensei.

I mean get crushed but appear behind him.

I think he could have at least held Pain off for longer than Tsunade did. As in he wouldn't give Pain the opportunity to do the Shinra tensei. But I'm biased af so don't take this too seriously

Actually YES he could have! BUT not in a 1vs1 ( or 1vs6 fight Lol ). His plan was probably to let pain kill Tsunade and **** up Konoha and then he would jump in with his root Ninja's and fight pain/s off and stand victorious as Konoha's savior thus ensuring he would become the next Hokage.

I think Danzo was stronger then h appeared but I'm not sure how good he really was I'm mean his whole fight with saskue he got owned! Plus his strategy was awful!
