could it been the ten tails? no cant be because it was sealed many years ago only the rinnegan could summon it but the ten-tails showed to have destoried a village with just one tailed beast ball (not fully charged)

how about 1-9 tailed beasts kurama seems more like it because he nearly caused the destruction of the hidden leaf and plus it said it was sealed inside kushina.....maybe its a unknown beast we dont know of yet to find?

This isn't a theory. It's you posing a hypothetical situation, then asking a question. That isn't enough to constitute theory.

At any rate, it's been heavily implied that the Uchiha have something to do with the destruction of the village. Maybe not as a clan, but an Uchiha member (Madara). Would make sense. He would certainly feel threatened by them for many reasons. Their lineage to the Sage, their ability to use Reaper seal, which would stop him, and their ability to seal tailed beasts, which he would not want happening.
