Why does Naruto thinks he can save Sasuke?

This is a question of the year right here.

Realistically speaking there is no way Naruto can save Sasuke, it's just not happening in the real world. In Naruto's Universe I think he will but lets connect Naruto's way of thinking to the reality of the world shall we.

I will admit that Naruto can understand Sasuke to a degree.

He was lonely just like him but that's it.

Naruto has absolutly no idea what it means to be loved and lose it because he has no memory of it while growing up. Yes, I know he had a family and lost it in the same day of his birthday but the fact remains that he wasn't aware of it as a kid.

Sasuke had a family, a clan and it was taken away from his brother, the one person he saw as someone to surpass and someone he loved and still loves very much.

When a person loves, they bear a risk for hate and in my mind that hatred is justified.

There is a lot of Sasuke's in this reality we live in and there is a lot of Naruto's too. It doesn't mean that these Sasuke's can change after you say a sentence about love and I understand you. No,no it doesn't work like that.

Some people can not handle losing what they once had because a bond to some people is more than anything in the world combine. So tell me, can Naruto change Sasuke or someone like Sasuke in the real world with his ideology? Can this feat be accomplished? How do you feel about Naruto mentality?

Well at some levels Naruto can understand since he has met his parents even if it was only for a short time he made a bond with them however he also had to say goodbye to them.

Naruto also understands Sasuke's loneliness due to his bad childhood so he does know sort of the pain Sasuke is going through.

But in no way is Sasuke justified with what he is doing, he's blaming the leaf over something his clan forced them to do if anything he should be pointing his anger at Obito and Madara as when you look at the big picture they are the cause for everything bad that happened in Sasuke's life.

Hes batshit crazy even Sakura gave up. And Sasukes stubborn even the will of his deceased brother couldnt change his mind. It would take a huge thing to change him similar to Gaaras revelation that changed his entire character

I feel that after Itachi gets to him he will so protect the leaf as it was itachi will. Plus the 4 hokages might change is his mind in the way sasuke seems right now. Naruto lost people too, garaa once, the third hokage , his parents(he met them in the kubi cage so tech met them, jairaya- he felt depress and he lost a mentor a friend and a father figure. Sasuke ask likes this because he is too egoistical to see what his brother wanted for him.

I think he could, after Sasuke's answer from Haishi he may change and see how Naruto feels and how Haishi and Madara's situation is pretty similar. Naruto's mentality has been very positive towards Sasuke even though Sasuke said that he would kill him and tried to twice. I think it all depends on how Haishi affects Sasukes decision really.

I feel that Sasuke should at least kill the elders but not everybody else. That's why I said the ''justified" part. And you're right Naruto can understand Sasuke in some levels.

I see your point but he was seven when he saw his clan's death before his eyes. That can make anybody over look the whole "moral of the story part".

Same here but in the story I think he can and I want him to. Sasuke deserves happiness in my mind.

Since Itachi's death Sasuke's hatred has been more ambiguous. "If ANYONE doesn't understand or accept my way" he says. There's no target. His whole focus and personality has been chaotic since Itachi's death whereas before it was focused.
People used to like the steel eyed focus of hebi Sasuke more than crazy Taka Sasuke.
I'll say though that right now Sasuke seems stunned by seeing his brother again and open to suggestion. I think this is what Naruto sees in his old friend. Naruto is the best friend you could have

Because Naruto is naive. He wants to save Sasuke, but I could never understand from what. Why does Sasuke even need saving if what he is doing is his own free will? And why on earth would Sasuke return to Konoha? Even if he turns "good" there is no point. Naruto is trying to force his own way on Sasuke, something he does not have the right to do. Hell Naruto should join Sasuke and they can both destroy Konoha and every microbe of life in it.
