Nice straight forward break down of the family tree in Naruto and I of course agree because I think the same.

In a nutshell Uzumaki + Hyuga = Uchiha

Kakashi hinted back in part 1 that sharingan came from the roots of the hyuga. This means that the uchiha clan existed because of the hyuga and since SO6P is originally was a uzumaki, it's highly plausible that SO6P married a hyuga giving birth to senju and uchiha.

Also to add Naruto and Hinata are parallel of Naruto's parents. Naruto of course acts like his mom in every way pretty much and Hinata is similar to Minato in terms of personality. Hinata just like Mnato protected the one she loved.

Yes the Elder Son did inherit his eyes from his father (Rikudou Sennin) however per Kakashi's statement, the origin of the Uchihas lie with the Hyuugas, but Kakashi didn't say the Byakuugan was the source of the Sharingan, only that the Sharingan and Byakuugan are both Dojutsus hence the word "similar".
