He was mad because obito made it seem like itachi was forced to do what he did because the leaf feared the uchiha, but in actuallity the uchiha were just a bunch of war mongers who needed to be stopped. Itachi showing sasuke what really happened made sasuke question whether itachi wasright in what he did, and hiruzens praise made sasuke realize what itachi really saw for sasuke and now hashirama is letting sasuke know how the uchiha could have been.

personnally ive been wanting this to happen since tobi told sasuke the truth about itachi.
