So, im looking through a list of all the wars america has been in the past 15 years....( which is alot by the way ). SO i was thinking, how many has america started? I for one refuse to believe that america is oh so caring and cares only about the well being of others in other countries. They hype kids up, pushing them to join the military for a NOBLE cause, to protect the country, blah blah.
I have much respect for the people who put their life on the line so i can play xbox without my house getting blown up. but, at the same time, I feel bad for them. I cant help but feel like they are dying for the wrong reasons. Let me ask you this, would the general population support a war they knew their own country started? No, majority of them would not. So how do you go around this?? By making it look like the OTHER country is the one at fault. For example, when mr bush spoke about how they had weapons of mass destruction. We have not even found a water gun down there! They lie to our face daily, making us feel like every other country is wrong, they portray other countries in the worst ways, while at the same time, making america look like saints.
I would never join the military, simply because i know the fighting is wrong. Unless someone is literally coming to my doorstep to take over, thats different. But, if its for resources, that my country wants, or because of a simple disagreement...then i cannot support killing another human, that only has one chance at life, for trivial things...
I am writing this because i have a cousin in the military..and i fear everyday that we will get a call saying he is dead.... i hope one day he sees that he might be fighting for reasons he knows nothing about.....
how do you guys feel about this? Do any of you have someone in the service? btw, he has been serving for five years......and is big af lol.
