Kamui and Shinra Tensei are both unique and powerful abilities with one major thing in common - both are assossiated with gravity.
Kamui is just like a black hole, pulling in all gravity to a single location, the Kamui dimension. This force is powerful as Kamui happens relitively quickly. However Shinra Tensei is also a gravitational force and the center of gravity like the eye of a black hole while Kamui is like the outer layer. If both are equal in power, than both would cancel each other out. Bansho Ten'nin is identical to Kamui as both are sucking the gravity inward and similar to Shinra Tensei, if both at an equal power, would cancel each other out.
Nagato somebody with large chakra reserves could easily counter Obito's Kamui.

- Gravity keeps all things together
- Black holes which are gravities greatest analogy
- If two black holes collide, the weaker one disappears but if equal in power, both disapear
- Power depends on the amount of gravitational force
