Odd—there seem to exist discrepancies; at one point the Narutopedia claims Sasuke achieved the highest in the class, and then it claims Ino did. Though I believe Sasuke achieved the highest in the performance test—which is still an impressive feat, for it once again attests to his prodigiousness.
Ooh, the Sharingan argument. You know, Einstein, Newton and extremely intelligent people of the former and latter's kind tend to be autistic. Can we declare them unintelligent just because of this innate advantage? Not at all. It is theirs, it belongs to them, and Sasuke developed his Sharingan fairly. You cannot take that away from him.

So, my best guess is Sasuke didn't go to the academy between those years....he instead trained himself in order to kill Itachi and improve his skills over the years by himself........i think he show the academy as a place that will hold him back from

if you were traumatize as a child you would think differently, if you see someone using your brother as a puppet. In emotional pain to kill his clan while the rest of the village laugh and have fun not even realizing wat he was put through
But remember. Naruto learned shadow clones in 2 hours, rasengan in a week, FRS in 2 days, SM in month, conquered hate got KCM plus chakra shaping manipulation and rasengan planet in 2 days. All this stuff would take like 10y for minato 20y for jiraya.
So regardless of what some characters in manga state, sasuke isnt that much of genius, naruto is.
