How was Sasuke a child prodigy in any shape or form?

Passed through the academy really quickly and with high grades. Ino and Sakura did too and there not called geniuses. He learned many jutsu and techs really fast! He has the frikin Sharingan, of course he did.

Sasuke was called a prodigy due to the hype he received for being the 'Last Living Uchiha' and nothing more. This isn't a bashing thread - just questioning why he was considered a prodigy.

Lol naruto mastered rasengan too he isn't a genius....naruto also faced zabuza and Haku....but unlike kakashi,Minato, Ot Itachi it took sasuke forever to become a genin and he didn't become a chunin like the guys I named who became jonins when they were like 10

In terms of his technique creation aptitude, he had created a plethora of Chidori variations—whereas Naruto, Sasuke's purported equal, only created a larger Rasengan. He completely and utterly laid waste to Deidara's existence, he out-played him in ever way possible—this attests to his tactical intelligence, whereas it remains inferior to Itachi's, it is notable.​

The first point is valid..but the second one is not since itachi planned for sasuke to obtain the EMS. A good feat would be him obtaining the EMS by fighting itachi in a serious battle but that didn't happen.

sasuke is a genius. he has surpassed almost every uchia who lived before him at the age of 16
