Madara and Danzo=EXACTLY alike

[Reflection]

Madara and Danzo were both friends/counterparts of the two Hokages and God of Shinobis, Hashirama and Hiruzen.
Since childhood, Madara and Danzo knew that they couldn't keep up with the GoS's and it made them jealous. They wanted so desperately to become like them and prove themselves that they did many sinister things to amount to them:

Danzo stole powers from the Uchiha to compare to Hiruzen...
Madara stole powers from Hashirama himself to compare to Hashirama because he can't keep up with his own powers. Same for Danzo.

But just like Danzo died unable to surpass Hiruzen, Madara will die unable to surpass Hashirama. What do you guys think?

Actually, Madara wanted to become Hokage. There were other things that fueled his hatred and him not being elected Hokage was one.

Madara wanted to be hokage cuz he didnt trust senju. Danzo was constantly sabotaging and undermining konoha military strength to become hokage himself, also wanted to control 9 tails

Lol what manga are you reading? Madara did not trust the sebju he was angry because a SENJU was elected and the uchiha hated the senju at one point. Madara never stated a goal to become hokage, the fact that hashirama was elected was "pouring oil on the fire". It rekindled his hatred because now some uchiha believed this was proof that the senju were trying to surpress them under their will. Madara tried convincing the clan this was the case, but he was removed as clan leader because he did not agree with accepting peace with the senju. the fact that Izuna did not trust the senju, and died apparently giving madara his eyes, means that accepting peace with the senju would destroy what Izuna fought for. Madara was living on with what Izuna believed and that was to not trust the senju.

You're looking at this entirely too literally. Danzo did not murder his own clan so you can't compare it to if Madara murdered his. Madara murdering the Uchiha would be worse because they are his family.

I agree with you OP. As much as I love Daddy Danzo, he's a bit of a sore loser just like Madara

Because danzo never came from a clan where he could benefit from killing them. He was incredibly selfish and in no way has the same personality & ideals as madara other than peace. But who doesnt want peace in naruto? hell even the villains just want peace.

Point is danzo/madara are nothing alike

The OP was pointing out that their relationship with their rivals are similar. Read it again. You have to admit that they are similar in that aspect. Never being able to fully surpass their rival

Yeah i agree with that but everybody has a rival, madara came to like hashi despite his superior strength. The sole reason why madara started to turn on hashi was because of izuna. There's no ulterior motive involving madara wanting to surpass his rival just because of jealousy. If that was the case then you might as well say that sasuke & danzo are similar in that aspect, because sasuke got jealous of naruto's strength. However that wasnt the actual reason why he defected.

Madara stole hashi's DNA after their final fight, madara had no intention of surpassing hashi at that point because he was focused on infinite tsukuyomi.
