... What the hell does "base Character" mean, anyway? LOL, I'm in the middle of a potentially fun argument with another member, and those words popped out. I've seen them before in many threads, and I'm afraid I never really understood what were people trying to say with that. The Number one thread that comes to my mind right now with that expression is that one about whether or not Minato was really fast. They used terms such as Minato's base speed, and other character's.

Base speed? What's that? You mean, like, jogging? LOL

I dunno, I think this term "base" is useless. Absolutely useless. So what, are we really gonna spend all day saying: "yeah, Base Nagato totally gets raped by Itachi"... LOOOL! What? What do you mean Base Nagato? There's no Base Nagato! Nagato is Nagato! Hahahaha, what cha tryin' to do, saying "base Nagato"? Are you perhaps trying to say Nagato WITHOUT RINNEGAN? AHHHH!!! That's another issue.

Speaking of which, are we not already about exhausted with those absurd people trying to strip others of their power and their abilities to suit their wild imagination? Sasuke without Sharingan, Naruto without Kyuubi, Kakashi without Sharingan as well... We might as well go and say: "Yeah, and Lee without legs and arms", or "Gaara without Sand"... LOL People these days.

Also, on a completely different subject: Chatte and Mangekyou Muslim, stop it. Be friends. Sakura's cool and Hinata is cool as well. Putting her against each other will end up being as another Naruto vs Sasuke or X character vs Itachi... Let's enjoy the series in peace!

My definition of "base" is how the characters are most of the time, no temporary boosts like sm or sharringan.

Base means no fancy jutsu assisting their abilities.


FTG, Sharingan, Bijuu Mode, Gates, and Kamui are all fancy jutsu and can not be considered "base".

Base is Naruto pre-SM, or Kakashi before he takes out his Sharingan.
