[Theory] The final Getsuga Tenshou

I got a crazy idea about Ichigo's FGT.
Remember the hilt of Ichigo's zanpakuto in his bankai??
Here it is

I think the four protrusions on the hilt signify his different powers i.e, shinigami,hollow etc.
When he trained for the FGT in the Dangai his zanpakuto fused with his right arm like this

The reason he was unable to maintain the form for longer time may be due to the simple fact that all his powers are completely opposite in nature i.e, shinigami and hollow powers.So when he fused all those powers they gave him a huge power boost which even his body was unable to contain.So he had to discard all of it in a single attack i.e, mugetsu.Thats when he lost all his reiatsu.

We can't really say.The only one we've seen using FGT is Ichigo.Isshin mentioned it but we don't know if he lost his powers or not.Atleast we've not seen him using it.Anyways thanx for the rep

He only had enough Reiatsu energy for one main attack since his training was done in a pressurized zone. When he left it pretty much was like a time limit for a Reiatsu imploding bomb. When he used FGT to become Getsuga himself/itself (depending on translation) he was only allowed to get off one attack.

BUT as you see in several of our members sigs like noni1997's, that have images of the Mugetsu move against Ascended Aizen, the Getsuga form is incomplete. His whole left shoulder and arm is exposed. When in Shikai and he gets wounded his robes do to. When in Bankai he pretty much regenerates his clothing, which becomes renewed reflecting his power(s) levels. He shrouds himself in whatever is available for his Reiatsu reserve which is his bankai coat. When his reiatsu starts diminishing or he takes damage of course his coat shreds. We saw a brief explanation when Unohana healed him on their way out of the Dangai Gate to fight Aizen while he was still in Fake Kurakura Town. Point im trying to make is that even though he merged with Zangetsu and His Hollow and used the Mugetsu ability, one if not both of those souls didnt fully merge and grant him all of the power to fully use Mugetsu. If they did, then Ichigo would not have been able to use his Shinigami powers and to call upon Zangetsu's Bankai form. Right now he just hasnt spoken to Zangetsu since getting his Shinigami powers back for the second time.

The chain is pretty much like the soul link between all of the powers he possess. in the beginning it was just the cloth sheath, they were more or less representing the threads of his fate. the more he learns about his powers, uses and controls them mutually, the longer the chain gets and the bond back together and become one. <-- that is my opinion.

it depends on how you look at the symbol. what direction. either from the enemy's perspective, or the wielder's. i think... i could be wrong.

I like the way you've said our opinion... by the way Chado also mentioned that Ichigo told him that he wears his power... when he's on bankai and he said that when Ichigo was learning fullbring...

Hehe thanks, and yes, i do recall he did say that. Looking in the anime for a little more detail, when Ichigo used his Fullbring, it was all his Hollow Powers (im assuming Hollow Powers since it was the same colors as its reiatsu) shrouding around him and his left arm was once again exposed which for my theory its safe to assume his Hollow is still not giving up the fight.

I think Kubo only made the guard on Ichigo's sword bigger just to emphasize this.

ahh you're talking about bleach universe .. while we're digging the real life swastika meaning and I don't think Kubo would mess with it's original meaning

Ichigo had Swastika on his BANKAI since day 1... it has nothing to do with Final or 4 races.
