Saying that is ridiculous and a complete lie, villages hired both the Uchiha and Senju for a reason. I am sick of this overrating of the Senju. The Uchiha clan was the only clan that could actually fight the Senju, just because you saw one manga chapter where the Uchiha lose, they suddenly never won a battle?

They were said to be rival clans and that is that, the Senju are a bit more powerful and not by a long shot either.
