1. He was still a teenager when he fought the more experienced Hokage. He also has the tendency to be naive, so he must have underestimated minato.
2. So does a lot of main character and villains in naruto. Obito is more impressive because he was already on the level of minato at such a young age, able to control the kyuubi, and almost annihilated konoha during that attack.
3. Obito only lost to minato so far, not because he is not as strong but due to his naivety. Itachi never fought any major main character in Naruto except sasuke and Orochimaru. Don't count Nagato and Kabuto because those were a tag team battle.
4. Can't prove that since I never seen the movie yet. He probably just don't want to take chance, especially since Itachi is more useful as a pawn rather than making him an enemy at the moment. Besides it wasn't the right time, he hasn't collected all the tailed beast yet.

Are you forgetting that he's using Kamui to be intangible and Kakashi's eye that is able to create black hole like attack using Kamui from Obitos eye?
One kamui black hole would send any susano or any of Itachis tech away rendering them useless. Now tell me how will itachi attack an intangible Obito? Teleporting behind itachi and stabbing him to death would seal the deal.

of course i UNDERSTAND... its like a boxer with no right hand or left hand... but still, there are still sayings that "some are born to do it, and some needs experience to do it"

sample of this are children of Uchihas who are really good since when they were young, like Itachi, but remember, Obito is not that good, but because of the fact that Madara Uchiha teach him, and expose him... he grew up with an extr ordinary jutsus... but we all remember that different mangekyou sharingan has different abilities as well... so what im just saying, Obito nor his mangekyou sharingan abilities are not the best of them all
