No, you don't get it. Yes Kishi wrote that but the context was not to call Nagato the god of shinobi like Hiruzen or Hashirama. Nagato wanted ppl to look at him as a god. Hashi and Hiruzen were called gods for their skills, not because they wanted to be called that. Get it?
