Kimimaro > Sasuke and Naruto in Part 1?

It pains me to say this. Like it really pains me to say this considering Im a huge fan of Both Sasuke and Naruto (theyre my upmost favorite characters of all time with Vegeta, Ryu from Ronin Warriors, Sesshomaru, Byakuya, and a few others) but it seems as though Kimimaro was far stronger than Naruto and Sasuke in part 1.

1) He took on Naruto in Initial Kyuubi form which Sasuke could not keep up with until he unlocked 3 tomoe
2) he took on Lee and was overwhelming him as well
3) he took on Gaara later and still managed to put up a good fight considering he was a close range fighter and he was very sick
4) His databook states give him a 30.5 which is far above the realms of any genin during that time. His speed alone (4.5) was not matched until Part 2 Sasuke where he also had a 4.5. His taijutsu was a 5 which Lee didnt have. He was honestly on a whole other level. In fact, his stats were closer to kakashi's
5) He could beat sound 4 single handedly as the manga stated. The sound 4 almost killed the people they were fighting and most were defeated thanks to the fact that they were saved right on time by the sand siblings and one of them had to use drugs to catch up to Jirobo. Neji was of course sucessful by himself but he almost died fighting kidomaru. If Kimimaro was said to be able to beat all of the sound 4, then his pwoers must really be something considering that the sound 4 were consdered pretty strong in part 1.

What do you guys think? I dont think that there is anyway for Sasuke and naruto to beat Kimimaro due to the fact that Kimi already demonstrated being able to overwhelm the latter!

Nah, I doubt it. Naruto had Gamabunta and Kage Bunshin (It didn't do too much when they fought, but if Bunta and Sasuke are with him, it'd be fairly hard to deal with), and Sasuke has the Curse Seal, along with Katon and Raiton. They'd probably overwhelm him.

Im Not seeing chidori create a problem .. kimis Bones Could Easily stop it like itachi did in part one .. Trap the hand before it touches the body .. thats IF it gets past kimis bones anyways .. and clones dont do anything lol .. Bunta naruto would be finished before he could summon it by digital shrapnel .And curse Mark Kimi Could Even Cause A problem with Bunta

Yah he's almost indestructible well besides susanoo.. But that's another story... But the only thing that killed him was his illness he wold have killed rock lee. Garra and naruto is a different sorry because of the tailed beasts but he's defiantly better than sasuke in part one.

Depends on which Naruto and Sasuke.

If it's 3-Tomoe/CS2 Sasuke and 1-Tailed Naruto, they should just be able to beat him, especially with their enhanced Chidori and Rasengan, which as we remember, when they clashed, made the air thick with chakra, even from a distance.

If it's just the initial Kyuubi chakra Naruto and 2-Tomoe/CS1 Sasuke, they put up a decent fight but Kimimaro wins.

you are talking about kimimaro whom was 15 compared to kidos whom were 12 and barely 13... If you want to compare Sasuke 15 to kimimaro15, then sasuke would crush him. Naruto also became stronger over the PTS so do not compare kimimaro to sasuke and naruto.

I'd say that Kimimaro was one of the most powerful characters to be in Part 1 if not the most powerful close to Naruto's age group. According to his wiki article he was only 15 which is incredible considering his talents. And when he took on Gaara and Lee he was at death's door. Without that illness and being trained during the timeskip, I'd say Kimimaro could be stronger than Sasuke was at the beginning of Shippuden.

He's already beaten Naruto even with Kurama's influence and his main power in shadow clones being taken care of no problem. Gamabunta could do damage, but that's debatable. Naruto was still a novice at summoning so he might not be able to summon him, and even if he does, with Kimimaro's speed and Curse Mark lvl 2, who's to say Gamabunta could even keep up with his speed?

Sasuke on the other hand might put up a decent fight with combined Curse Mark lvl 2 and some long-range fire jutsus like Fireball and Phoenix Flower, but Kimimaro demonstrated incredible dodging potential with Gaara's sand that he could deal with those easily. And like with Lee's kick, if Sasuke tried the Chidori, he could just catch it with his ribs or bones coming out from his forearm.

Either way, Naruto and Sasuke stand next to no chance of beating Kimimaro 1v1. 2v1 they have a chance, but their chemistry back then was poor, so they wouldn't coordinate well enough in order to be highly effective.

He wasn't stronger he was just more skilled and experienced at the moment. Given the core stats had Naruto or sasuke been brought up in the way Kimimaru was they would have destroyed him instantly. Kimimaru had a bloodlust, Sasuke and Naruto hadn't killed anyone at that point.

Kimimaro was on a whole nother level when compared to any of the part 1 genin. Even sick and dieing, he was stronger than part 1 kakashi.


In part 2, he was even hyped as being on the same level as part 2 Sasuke who is easily kage level. The guy was a monster.

I'm aware of the fact that they din't do much in their with, but when Kimi is fighting Bunta and Sasuke along with the clones, it's completely different.

I' guess I can go back and reread. If he summons bunta, kimimaro just transforms the whole battlefield. After that, if bunta lands, he's dead. If he's still barely alive then kimi keeps popping out of random bone trees all around him and stabs him until he bleeds out.

Edit: Yeah, I saw all of that and the point still stands. Kimi beats all those kage bunshin even easier than the other ones.
