To many Karla Sofen is seen as the epitome of beauty, the ideal woman of most men Karla has long, flowing, golden hair which stretches down to her lower back. Her eyes are clear blue and sit upon a perfectly proportioned face, her jawline is strong but undoubtedly feminine only accentuating her beauty further. Standing 5"8 Karla is a fairly average height for a woman of her age, she has a slim build but is relatively busty and uses this to her advantage in battle.
Karla's outfits are often designed to further exaggerate her figure, hugging her skin tightly up to the neck. Her most famed outfit comes in the form of a one piece tight suit which covers the top half of her body and stops just below the buttocks. The main section of the outfit is a dark shade of red, however, this red is replaced by a harsh black which travels down the length of her sleeves and covers her arms from the shoulder. On the chest of the outfit sits a golden star crest and it is completed with a black mask which accentuates the piercing blue of her eyes. Karla although mainly seen in the outfit just described sometimes switches into a full body white one piece suit. The white suit features gold boot like patterns at the feel as well as gold on the sleeves and majority of the chest. This outfit is complete with a white mask which surrounds her eyes.
Personality:
Karla is extremely outspoken and possesses great leadership skills which were showcased and developed over time as she led her group of bounty hunters, 'the Thunderbolts'. She is also incredibly proud, a trait which has stuck with her since her childhood, seeing her father get treated how he was treated made her believe that she needed to take care of herself more than others, this can lead to others seeing her as quite self-absorbed although she has reasons for being that way. Karla is also extremely flirtatious and is fully aware that she is an attractive girl, this self-confidence means that she does not mind flaunting her body if it means that she can achieve what she has set out to achieve, tricking men in this way gives her a huge sense of satisfaction and only adds to her tremendous pride. Being outspoken Karla finds talking to people very easy and can often put herself into trouble or awkward situations as she sometimes blurts out her opinions when they are unneeded or disliked, the countless times before that her mouth has gotten her into trouble has made her a very good talker and she is able to talk herself out of hard situations easily. Also due to her outspoken nature Karla has very strong opinions and is not afraid to tell people if she believes them to be wrong, she can come across as arguementative. Despite this, she is relatively easy to talk to should she agree with what the person has to say.

Background Info.
History:Karla grew up in the mansion of an extremely wealthy businessman in Sunagakure, the child of a butler. Seeing her father being ordered around daily and witnessing him return to their quarters drained completely of all his energy Karla grew up resenting the wealthy. In the house she lived alongside her father, the couple who owned the house and their daughter, a girl of relatively similar age to herself; Carol Danvers. Karla's mother was not present in the house as the family could not afford to house her and she had chosen to remain alone in order to ensure that her daughter had the best upbringing possible. During Karla's childhood she became more and more accustomed to watching on as Carol received lots of nice presents and all of the affection from her parents whilst Karla was left alone and bored, unable to understand very early in her life why this was the case Karla grew extremely envious of Carol, envy which only strengthened as the years passed.
After her father died, Karla remained in the Mansion and was adopted by the wealthy family; the arrangement worked exceedingly well as Karla grew to look remarkably similar to Carol, even to the point where they could be easily mistaken for twins through unknowing eyes. Despite the similarities in appearance the two girls could not have been more different, Carol kept on receiving the bulk of the love from her parents whilst Karla remained sick with envy. As Karla grew older still she began to observe the relationship that Carol had with her mother, this led her to wonder what her own mother was like. The more she wondered the less open to meeting her mother she became, the only things which she knew about her mother were that she had allowed for Karla to be bought up in this house ashamed and unsatisfied with what she herself could have given her daughter. Being alone for so long and watching her father kneel before the wealthy Karla was a very proud person and the idea of her mother giving up her child to those better off sickened her to the stomach. Unimpressed by the mother that she had thought up Karla vowed to never end up like her and pledged to herself that she would never put another's needs before her own. Growing in determination and intent on making something of herself Karla left Sunagakure in order to give herself the life that she wanted.
Upon leaving Sunagakure (aged 14) Karla took up work in a small village in the deserts surrounding her former home. Working as part of a team Karla excelled and soon began to realize that she was a very talented individual, this talent coupled with an undying drive to succeed and become better than her mother led to Karla becoming frustrated with the people around her, Karla began to find taking direction and orders hard as she pictured herself in her fathers butler outfit kneeling to those above her. This difficulty with taking instructions eventually led to Karla giving the job up and once again leaving her home village, but this time she had a goal. Karla spent a few days in the wild thinking up a very detailed plan which eventually led to her creating a league of bounty hunters which she hoped could come as feared as the Akatsuki.
In order to start her own group and find followers Karla knew that she would have to use her unique talents in order to build up a reputation for herself which would give her the status she would need to convince people to join her cause. This phase of her plan did not take Karla long and in mere months she was known throughout much of the land as 'Meteorite'; the name was given to her by people in her field as they began to learn of her speed, they said that you don't know she's hit you until it's too late, like a meteorite she appears from the stars and in a flash of light she is gone. Overhearing some men speaking this in a tavern one day Karla decided to adopt it as her bounty hunting name.
Now aged 16, her reputation earned and her new name Karla began travelling the ninja world searching for girls who, just like her had given up on their lives inside their homes and longed for something new, the girls whom she picked up went on to form her group 'the Thunderbolts' (the name again coming from the speed of her swift release). Understanding of how life can be for a woman in the world Karla decided to make the group a women only group of bounty hunters with the hope of empowering young girls and allowing them to feel appreciated like she never had before. Upon creation of the new group Karla decides to change her alias and begins to call herself 'Moonstone', believing it to be a more feminine way of saying Meteorite. Once a few had been found Karla stumbled upon a girl who called herself 'Mimi', the girl intrigued Karla with her story and Karla agreed to help her complete her goals in return for Mimi's joining 'the Thunderbolts'. As the team grew to learn each others strengths and weaknesses Karla began to grow into her role as leader of the group, her strong will and outspokenness allowed her to drive the group forward through difficult times and although they often disagreed with how to go about collecting bounties Karla and Mimi found themselves growing closer with time, eventually forming a close rivalry and friendship. It wasn't long before the group developed a name for themselves under Karla's leadership, however, this new found reputation did not bring the glory which she had hoped and the world refused to put their needs in the hands of an all female group with most believing them to be inferior. With jobs coming slowly and the girls running out of patience with their leader Karla decides that the group will perform one last farewell mission, bigger than any which they have attempted before. Planning a huge robbery which would set all the girls up for the rest of their lives she presses on with her plan, unfortunately the robbery fails and 'the Thunderbolts' are tried and placed in prison. After sharing their time in prison Karla and 'Mimi' became closer than they ever were before and before they parted ways they made a pact that they would find each other again once both had completed their respective tasks; once re-united the pair would start a fresh new life free of hate and revenge ridden thoughts.
Upon her release from prison (Aged 18) Karla returned to the life of hunting which she had enjoyed so much previously and began collecting bounties alone again at an incredibly quick rate, desperate to return to her former glories. No matter how hard Karla seemed to try however she could not make people know her once more, just as hope seemed lost she was contacted by one Zemo Uchiha, the man whom her friend Mimi had been searching for so desperately when they had met for the first time. Unable to pass on the opportunity to learn of his whereabouts in the hope that she could see her friend again Karla accepts his offer and joins a group he called the 'Masters of Evil'. Karla's time in the group was spent leading a sub-team consisting of her and three other ninja, one of which was a very young girl named Jolt. Karla became attached to the young girl and went on to become like a mother figure to her, Karla began training Jolt in combat as well as teaching her some tricks of the trade which Karla had picked up on her journey. One trick which she found especially useful was the exploitation of men. during her time hunting it became very evident to her that lots of men looked upon women as objects rather than humans, they would stare at her as she worked or even shout out vulgar comments as she walked passed. Fully aware that she had been gifted with exceedingly good looks Karla learnt to use her appearance in order to get her where she wanted to be, flirting with men and pulling sensual poses in order to get inside their heads before battle. This was a trait which Jolt did not appreciate as much as Karla did and decided to pass up on learning as she did not possess the self-confidence which Karla had built up through her life which allowed her to flaunt her body in such ways.

After some time spent with the group and with Jolt, Karla is given a mission which involves her travelling back into the village of her birth in order to find something for Zemo. When she arrives in Sunagakure she is greeted by a familiar face. Face to face with her step-sister once more Karla's head fills with rage as the envy she felt from her childhood comes flooding back, Carol is now a highly thought of ninja who coincidentally was guarding the gate when Karla arrived. Unwilling to let Karla pass into the village the two face off. The battle which follows is brutal as the two sisters throw everything that they have at each other in a no holds barred fight to the death, battered and bruised the two continue to fight with neither willing to yield until every ounce of chakra in their body has been exhausted. Unbeknownst to Karla her mother watches on from the village gates, horrified at what her daughter has become. Her mother had heard of the awful things which Karla had put herself through, prison, murder, theft, the list was endless and Karla's mother hated herself for it. Powerless to do anything though she watches on as her daughter wages war against family. The battle continues for hours and stretches into the night, with both girls tiring the attacks become sloppy and rushed but still no winner emerges, until finally Karla strikes Caron in the chest with a lightning covered fist, punching a hole straight through her sisters heart. With the last of her energy Karla removes her hand from the girls chest and lets the lifeless corpse drop to the ground beneath her, Karla raises a foot and places it onto the throat of her victim before looking into the sky and releasing a tear, even she herself is not sure what the tear portrays; joy, sadness, relief, she is so exhausted that she cannot make it out, but she knows that she has won and she allows herself to fall to the ground beside her sister and close her eyes.
When Karla's eyes open an old woman looks down on her from above, the look in the woman's eyes makes Karla uncomfortable instantly and she slides backwards away from the old lady before rising slowly to her feet and throwing an inquisitive glare towards the woman. Separated from her mother at such a young age and without contact since Karla is taken by complete surprise to find that the old woman that stands before her now is the one that had abandoned her so long ago. Upon hearing the woman's identity Karla's hand starts to shake and she clenches her fists tightly together holding back the anger which now consumes her. Her mother speaks to Karla of the reasons for her being left with her adopted parents and explains why she had to leave Karla at such a young age. The woman also speaks to her daughter about the road which Karla has taken, she speaks of her disappointment and regret over what Karla has become. The words hit Karla hard and before her mother can finish talking she is overcome with guilt and embarrassment. Before she can even think Karla has driven her hand through the womans chest, narrowly missing her heart. The woman collapses onto the ground in a heap and Karla's eyes snap open as she catches her mother in her arms. Dropping to her knees she cradles her mother in her hands and listens to her mothers last words.
Mother: "Oh, Karla...What have you done now?"
Karla: "Mom?"
Mother: "You thought you were so smart."
Karla: "Mom, no I..."
Mother: "You were so embarrassed of what you became. You killed me. You killed me so you could do a million more terrible things without me seeing"
Karla: "Mom..."
Mother: "I saw it all Karla. I saw everything you did."
Karla's mothers eyes then fall shut and her head drops back, limp. Karla lays her mother on the ground next to Caron and stands up walking backwards as she stares at the bodies which lay before her. Karla turns her head on the bodies and runs back into the desert without looking back, as she runs she wonders where she will end up, who she will end up as. The whole time she wanders aimlessly through the desert her mothers final words echo through her skull, the words which put her entire life into context. Karla had wasted her life performing aimless deeds to make herself feel better about nothing. She had killed family, friends and innocents in an attempt to be recognized by the world, all to make up for a lack of attention in childhood, Karla began to understand her mothers words, she was not the person that she wanted to be. She was the person that the world had made her. Feeling forever indebted to the world for stealing away peoples family Karla moves away from bounty hunting and starts a life in Kirigakure, The bloody mist couldn't help but appeal to her as she looks to use her talents for the good of the land and to gain satisfaction of herself through the means of helping others.
A few years of living in Kiri Karla had returned to her former self, the pride in her being which she had forgotten returned in all it's glory and the self-confidence which won over so many is clearly evident as she uses her womanly charm to bait opponents into an easy kill. Her former being returned just in time as just as Karla begins to feel whole again her old friend arrives in Kirigakure, unrecognizable as the girl she was before the new look adopted by Melissa takes KArla a while to get used to, however, the two grow close again and begin to train together in Kirigakure. Same team, new direction.
