Exactly. It happened to Orochimaru... I don't see why you guys would dismiss the fact that Weasel is coming back. Although I agree that it would fudge up his image.

That would completely ruin the story and the character. Kishimoto already muddled his character enough by giving him that extremely haxed Totsuka Blade. Because of this, SEVERAL characters get trolled AND Itachi has somewhat made what could be epic fights boring. As well as contradicting himself by saying "I'm not invincable" with a sword that scews over everyone and a sheild that blocks everything in his hands. . .

But enough of me ranting. He shouldn't come back. It's just not a good Idea.

Kishi's favorite character is itachi, With that being said, Kishi will hype itachi a couple more times for sure.

If itachi does Indeed come back, then that would ruin many thing's including the Manga.
